I feel like, genuinely, last year was the 'shopping' phase. Or I hope. She's pretty much been spotted there every day, know she had some kind of shoot or video/ad she filmed with the green contacts. I'm not trying to get my hopes up that DL4 is right around the corner but they're up.

I don't think so; Mark used to use that studio often but I believe he uses a different one now or has one in his home in NYC. Antonoff uses that a lot but I am wondering if she was there to work with Elmhirst. I doubt she's that far into the recording process but I do think he will be part of this album as well.

Yeah, they sound... rough but I'm assuming most are unfinished anyway. At least they all seem a bit different lol

It wasn't a perfect era, we all have our issues with the rollout/promo, but that's okay! The tour was a huge success and she had cute mini viral moments with some of the covers/special guests. I am so excited for DL4 and its' tour. Don't even care about the wait (as long as we get something in 2027...)

I do thiiink something is coming based on what I've been told via the person with the outtakes. I don't have any confirmation of what it is going to be and I feel like it'll likely just be a digital release but it feels very on brand for the RO era to end with them teasing something then radio silence for a week before it gets announced. Watch it be an End Of An Era live music video and that's it.

I genuinely think the hyperbole with her is ridiculous. Yeah, the constant brand deals are annoying, but does anyone think logically and look at the bigger picture? The brand deals are a GOOD thing. It means these companies have done their research, find her name/face still carries weight, and want her associated with their brand because she sells. And expecting DL4 to come out in 2030 just because of the time between other releases is ridiculous too. Time between self titled and Future Nostalgia was because a) she was still trying to establish herself as an artist, One Kiss taking off probably shifted the focus, and she was touring forever. Time between Future Nostalgia and Radical Optimism? COVID, the tour getting pushed back to 2022, and then the change in management. There's reasons why her music took time, not just because she is a self-proclaimed perfectionist but in addition to external factors. I would genuinely be surprised if the new era doesn't start before the three year anniversary of RO. Without anything else impacting her releases, I can see a typical three year gap between music for Dua, which isn't bad. Could go down to two years if she toured sooner instead of a year post-album release.

So I really do not think this is because the lack of releases. It's their excuse but this all started when the last era under performed and she was getting dragged. It's because they're too wrapped up in the charts and accolades and streaming numbers. Just like the talk of how we won't have DL4 until 2030 or earlier when we have reasons as to why there's bigger gaps between her three releases. Maybe that's just me being slightly delusional but I believe we'll have the first single by this time next year, at the very latest.

I could see some jazz/blues elements in the album but I just don't see her completely straying from pop. I wouldn't mind a more experimental album My only thing is, I thiiink this is one of the update accounts that makes up rumors often. So I'd take this with a grain of salt.

I don't know if we'll have the album by Q2 2026 but definitely the lead single. I have a feeling we'll see the rumored DJ Snake collab. I definitely can't find it now but, a couple days before DJ Snake posted the photo with her backstage in Paris, someone randomly tweeted that she recorded a song with him while in the city.

Possibly but there was also a shift in the direction of the album in 2022 when she left TaP. I think there's been tons of stuff that has delayed her recording process and releasing new albums (FN tour being delayed because of Covid, DL1 taking a minute to hit until New Rules, then the success of One Kiss) but I don't see that happening this time. But Dua has also said she's a perfectionist and won't put out something until she's completely happy with it so who knows. DL4 either early/mid next year or in 2028.
