That's correct and I doubt they will do the same strategy as Future Nostalgia and Radical Optimism this time. I guess the Vogue Italia cover was mere a coincidence and people are jumping on conclusions so easily...

I'm not expecting anything at all music wise this year. I'd be very surprised if she released something in the remaining months.

There is enough time for her to promote the single.

I dont think those few days would somehow affect the schedule.

I think they will release the single sooner than they did with Houdini, Houdini was rushed last minute due to change of Training Season and they had to fullfil the contract with Puma to release it to catch the Xmas season.

Personally I wish she released 1st single on September 25th and then September 27th VMA performance ...

Then there will be enough time to let it cook and pass the Xmas

Grammys are on February 7th, so second single with performance then

She's been overexposed to the GP this year due to her wedding and political views. I honestly don't see her releasing the lead single this year especially with Training Season gaining momentum. 2027 IT IS!

Once again, the VMAs aren't happening. The two moonmen Dua won are in technical categories, so she basically hasn't won them. Also, I think this is one of the award ceremonies that she doesn't care at all, so I highly doubt she gives them their time to promote their brand new single, lmao! 😂

The EMAs, on the other hand, is a possibility, but as I mentioned before, I don't see any release to happen this year.

The good things is that all eyes are on her and she recovered successfully from Radical Optimism's underperformance. The hype is there for her next album, now it depends on her and the type of music she releases…

Well, plausible for sure but I'm still not convinced.

I believe Callum is doing a couple of films in the US over the next few months which is why, I believe, they are effectively living for that time in the US (lots of photo dumps from New York recently). Now that doesn't stop her hopping around the planet of course for forays and you could argue it's great for a US launch of course but I just can't feel it in my bones that she wouldn't be back in London to do the start of DL4.

Well the rumors is she is doing the finishing touches in Electric Lady Studios in NY already

And Dua is partying at festival in Albania one day and is on movie premiere the next one. so I wouldn't really care about them being part time in NY for 6 months

Y'all are holding on too much to these traditional award show performances the VMAs dont care about her and the EMAs have been irrelevant for years now. It worked in 2019 but that was because of the performance itself, not because it was the EMAs.

Longevity is her middle name.

I'm not sold on the era starting this year but if it does, it's basically middle of September to the first week of October for her release window and, if that's the case, we'll definitely hear more whispers. I wouldn't mind if she waits until after the Holidays though and that may be better anyway. If the lead single is a banger, and the GP agrees, then there wouldn't be any concerns regarding it maintaining good numbers during November and December but they might be gun shy to pull the trigger after 2023 and just stick with launching the lead around the time of the February award shows.

Either way - we're getting it "soon" and I think one thing she said in the Vogue Italia interview makes me lean that way too but basically said she isn't trying to be a perfectionist any longer.
