Oh I'm glad I skipped through what I assume is 100+ pages of popped blood vessels over the writing credits 

No I think the only credit people were confused about was Sabrina. 

As the credits can attest there's a bit of Diana Ross (Cuff It), James Brown (Church Girl), Whitney Houston (Pure/Honey) and Donna Summer (Summer Renaissance) on Renaissance. 

 

I don't wanna jinx it, but it already looks promising, perhaps even better than Lemonade on paper

I don’t think it’s in the bag for Adele unless she releases a deluxe later in the year and boosts that album up again. EOM is a sure fire win though for SOTY.

I think there's a possibility it'll get mixed reviews and I'm okay with that. As long as I like it, I don't care - I'm over the AOTY rat race. 

 

 

I just don’t see why Renaissance would get worse reviews than Lem, 4, or Self Titled. Even BDay which was very upbeat did well.

 

Just because she’s doing dance music doesn’t mean 1) it’s all pop and 2) that it’s generic.

 

I know it’s hard to believe that any artist can keep going up and up and up, but I don’t think we’ve seen the best of Beyoncé yet. She’s still too young! Madonna released COADF at 47 (!!) years old to commercial success and acclaim. No use for cynicism y’all. 

If critics were lenient on Drake's album (73 MC after the universal PANNING ) and Special (90 MC debut but now down to a 77), Renaissance should be okay.
