I really feel Queen is coming through with a themed project that will see each act spin into different sounds and holistically it alll ties into reclaiming Black genres:

 

* Act 1: House/Urban 

* Act 2: Country/R&B fusion

* Act 3 (?): Who knows?!

I heard that she’s going to release 3 albums indeed (one house/pop, one country and one R&B)

that would explain why some rumored acts aren’t listed on act I

Both the GP and the fanbase said NO to EIL and TG. Can we already settle this? Their overall poor reception can't be denied, and I'm not necessarily alluding to their sales. They didn't live up to the hype. Simple as that. Period. 

 

Summer and Already are excellent songs, but I couldn't care any less about those projects. They can't be even remotely comparable to Lemonade, ST or 4. It's time to move on

Okay, so we haven’t got a video and I think we’ve all adjusted our expectations that’s it not coming until 7/29.

This is all conjecture

 

When country was originally mentioned for whatever reason I imagined an interpolation between something Electronic and accoustic. This example isn't country per say but its just an example of something i can imagine Bey doing in future acts. Orchestral, electronic, pop, indie, Country, RnB incorporated into another act.

Less dance floor filler and more intimate & instrospective but still a range of tempos

To be fair TG wasn’t really explained properly, people were confused on if I was lion king album or Beyoncé. I felt like there could have been more of a distinction. And EIL was rushed, they literally dropped a new song after the tour started and then an album in the middle of it all. 
 

Outside of Black is King, I don’t think those two eras were handled well. Plus the world ain’t ready for Afrobeats. It took awhile for reggaeton artists to hit mainstream.

The impudence jumped out! I know you didn't just shun and ultimately disrespect "My Power" (best song/visual of 2020's thus far) and "Bigger" (soul meets opera with a contemporary flair).

Sorry but going to have to disagree to the absolute max with TG.

 

Granted stans generally do go overboard with excitement when any new project drops ("this is xyz's best album ever"), I really watched and damn near studied the response before, during, and after TG especially.

 

The girls were gagged! Swearing up and down that x song was Bey's next big smash and how x song should be the follow-up. Etc. This is both on forums like this and social media. The girls were hyped and I saw it with my own eyes. 

 

The tone totally changed when those first week numbers come in. Bey's brand is not associated with failure, so there legitimately was a switch up with the stans. It then became about "what went wrong" and defending against drags from other stan bases. The project, as a result, went from generating optimistic excitement to leaving a bad taste in the mouths of fans who were wanting to press fast forward to her next success. Much like she did with the lack of promo, it was a case of "let's forget about that...quickly" tea. 

 

Still, it has no bearing on whether the music was good. Her doubling back with BIK was bittersweet because I was elated she stuck to her convictions of how good the music was and gave us the best full length visual she's released to date. At the same time, the year gap and platform kinda saw it fly under the radar. Not the quality of the music.

 

Sure we all have opinions and don't have to like anything, but I can't UNSEE all the gagging the girls did when they first heard TG. You can even check the threads here (if we still have em). 

 

It'd be one thing if Bey was still giving sugar Pop and made this sharp pivot into Afrobeats. That would be polarizing. But she'd been on the same vibey, mellow, Black power flex heading into TG (with ST and Lemonade) and actually drove in a more commercial direction with TG. Already, Water, My Power, Brown Skin Girl, and Find Your Way Back are ALL more commercial, universal, and dare I say flat out better than most of Lemonade (which we all cheer for because a) it was good and b) did well).

BMS can easily reach #1! The resources needed to push the song to take a hike  and successfully climb up that peak and stay perched there are laid out right in front of her face!

This has been my main frustration with them this era. CAPITALIZE on the moment. 
 

However I’m finally starting to come around to the fact that she really may want to release it all at once. As much as I am not a fan of that approach, it is what it is.

I hope this is her deliberate attempt to give off the illusion she is trying, when in fact, BMS is just a buzz, dummy test and appetizer leading up to grandiose marketing efforts 

if she wants a lukewarm era so bad then she’ll get a lukewarm era. I can’t be bothered with feeling frustrated anymore and just accepting whatever bs promo schedule they have.
