The strategy to release Halo/Single Ladies was to cater to everybody (duh).
 

Beyoncé and Matthew wanted Broken Hearted Girl as the final single but the label pushed for Sweet Dreams cause they thought it was a smash. 
 

Beyoncé thought End of Time was the hit of the album and would be a single (or first single?) but it got leaked. He described the whole era as a **** show. 
 

The radio stations didn't think Run The World (Girls) was a single for some reason. (I'm not sure if he meant that the label wasn't clear that it was the first single or if they were asking for a different song from her lol). Then the label was confused as to why Beyoncé performed 1+1 on American idol because it wasn't a single. At the last minute they pushed Best Thing I Never Had as the 2nd single to stabilize the album. 
 

Beyoncé didn't necessarily self manage during 4. She was with some guy named Fayzel? Idk how to spell it. And the host described him as a bully.

I love the Becoming Beyoncé biography by J. Randy Taraborrelli that came out in 2015. Essential reading for Hive and I wish we got an update in the decade that's followed the book's release.

By the way, still no dolby atmos of Cowboy Carter when Renaissance had it a few months after release (which that long of a wait time is still ridiculous for new releases but at least we had one)

parkwood is completely disorganized, you'd think she would be on top of this considering apple music pays you more per stream for dolby atmos albums (and update her old albums with it too, B'day needs it the most)
