The most we could hope for is a single, followed by an album drop on Black Friday, since she's been releasing physicals on release day.  It's not what I personally expect, but it's the only logical way I could see her doing something this year.

 

As for the Emmys, I think actors have a genuine love for her, so I don't think she would mind going.  There's not really a jealousy or a desire to see her fail there I think some of her peers in the music industry have.

 

That said, I wouldn't be shocked if she laid low the rest of 2025.

This Mariah/Katseye conversation is actually eye opening because i recently saw some of the members harmonizing in fun to her Drunk In Love scale from DUBAI and talking about recreating the Beautiful Liar video,  Beyonce's cultural longevity really is insane considering she too is a relic of the 90s.

that would actually be smart wait  but yeah i doubt we're seeing her again this year outside the occasional paparazzi pic and her halloween costume (maybe the CCT film if she hasn't abandoned that already)

 

i still think our best chance is may 2026 if she's sticking with the 29th. i wonder how, where and when she'll start soft launching and how she'll announce the album this time

I mean, the last time Mariah made any significant noise with her live performances was in 2005 during TEOM. After that, she has done nothing that has furthered her legacy in any regard other the annual christmas moment.

The Katseye member were literal kids/babies when Mariah served sth worth following.

 

Bey on the other hand cemented her legendary status when the member were teens, so its obvious why they are much more aware of Bey.

That + Bey is an infinitely better performer than Mariah

They'll live multiple places, just as they always have.  It's not like the UK is doing so much better than the US right now.  (better, yes, but essentially the whole world is shifting right, and hard.)

 

I'm sure they have some sort of plan in case things go south considering they have so much money, but I don't think this proves they're leaving forever.

I saw an article stating LA will remain her home base. She's in Europe a lot so this makes sense. Cotswolds will probably kinda be like the Hamptons for them.

Don't forget her company has confirmed with the last drop last year that another perfume will drop this year. I truly think she's releasing in October/November 😶 Black Friday does make sense with the 'Blackout' idea
