I was hoping she used this during the CC tour (or do it for act iii, I dont care)

in my mind it wouldve been perfect for tyrant

I mean yeah its literally perfect as is, but I always like to see custom too. I mean the Mugler bee look from RWT was museum quality.

Maybe they'll do a exhibition at the costume institute of all the fashions from this trilogy, and then Beyoncé could get her own Met Gala theme.

it's kinda crazy how beyonce's fashions were always made fun of until Renaissance era, she truly has elevated her wardrobe (minus some choice outfits)

I just went through a PDF of it. There's a lot of written passages! Very different from her past tour books

Wasn't there a rumor Solange was working on the visuals?

i think so? not 100% sure!

i think its pretty interesting regardless because their teams have never openly collaborated like this.

they have been very particular about keeping their creative projects separate. obviously it makes sense to collab during this era with that being her family and Solange's When I Get Home album & visual also being a love letter to Houston & black cowboys. but I'm wondering if this was done because her current creative team is in transition. We know Andrew isn't doing new stuff with her these days, and this book was clearly not done by her team like the initial CC art book was.

It makes me wonder if the art book was supposed to be the original tour book. Kinda seems that way based on the size of it matching her past tour books more closely? To be frank they both could've (and should've) been consolidated into a singular (hardback coffee-table) book. But i digress. Just interesting nonetheless!

Do y'all have any opinions on well known/big hive accounts?

Danny @beyoncegarden gives us the best promo. Since he doesn't only tweet about Beyoncé he's gained a following that wouldn't normally stan and now they're exposed to the best of Beyonce.

NotBeyoncebutViolence @ourhermitage kinda cringe. I can tell they seek validation from a particular demographic doing the bare minimum. They'll repost anything on TikTok from that demographic doing a bad dance trend but ignore top black creators. Meanwhile he's…

Beylegion fell off. I unfollowed them.

and of course we all love beyonce_data even though her catalog is kinda stagnant and boring to follow the past couple years.

I am willing to bet a lot that 1 Thing was created with Beyonce in mind, the construction of that song is literally MADE for her voice.

Amerie got so lucky, Bey would DEVOUR 1 Thing. :deadbanana4:

The biggest issue is that these other R&B stars are always said to be competition for Bey and people always make it seem as if they would have gave her a run for her money. Those girls made good music but they were never on Bey level talent wise nor performance wise. Amerie and them other women are always boosted up while Beyonce is being talked down on. Amerie did horrible on tiny desk and got dragged and it was officially proven that Bey was superior. People make it seem as if beyhive be bullying these women but it's the GP that start the bullshit.

!!! This is true of both viewpoints

As probably the only Bey/Amerie stan left standing in 2025 (though Amerie is only a second-tier fave for obvious reasons at this point), the comparisons always piss me off because people each side of the argument make it seem so much deeper than it is. The amount of tweets I've seen since the NPR performance of people saying Amerie spent her peak badmouthing Bey (not true) and her bad vocals are karma, or that Bey stole Amerie's sound and sabotaged her career out of jealousy (obviously also not true) :deadbanana: It's giving tinfoil hat "Bey ordered the crash of Aaliyah's plane" nonsense...

People just need to let the girls coexist, in their completely different lanes

Ehhh idc about the discourse, she spent years being vague about a "stolen sound" without being specific which lead to many conspiracies against Bey.

Tbh I don't necessarily blame her for opting to be a little vague with it at times at a time when the media were incessantly pitting Black women in music against one another for no reason and looking to pounce on any vague scraps of "beef." But the real enemy in all of this, like many other situations, is and always will be J.Lo and I won't budge on that.

And this is why I'll always say the number one reason ppl don't like Bey is bc of insecurity. And it is such a shame that most of it comes from black ppl who are simply jealous of a black woman living her dreams. They hate she had two successful parents who love her and pushed her. They hated that she was actually more talented than all of the DC members (I see ppl to this day try to say Kelly is a better singer like GURL…). They hated the fact that she went solo and became even more successful. They hate how beautiful she is. They hate her longevity. They hate that she NEVER stoops to the level of internet trolls. They hate that she's happily married with kids. Hell, Aaliyah stans hate that she's alive! And through it all, she remains :clap3:

1 Thing is so bday coded. shoulda been her song fr.

I will never not be mad at that not getting to Beyonce when Sean clearly had her in mind creating it. 1 Thing as the lead single to B'day would've shaken the world - the performances alone.

Honestly the reason every R&B girlie got and still gets compared to Bey was because the industry had never seen an R&B girl dominate every radio format like that. She really came in the game and cleared.  The ***** was sweeping every R&B award for a decade, her closest competition being only Alicia and she ended up out lasting her too. Rihanna had to go fully pop and leave the Beyonce lane completely to get any real success.

Even at Diana's peak there was Aretha, Gladys, Dionne, Chaka,  etc all getting hits, awards and success - Whitney had Janet, Paula, Anita, Sade, Vanessa, Jody. Natalie, Mariah etc as competition so her commercial dominance wasn't as overwhelming to the industry. After that the 90s had multiple successful R&B female popstars. Beyonce happened and it basically bulldozed a lot of the girls out of the game because they just couldn't keep up and their labels just stopped trying to pump money into them. Also it doesn't help that she was exceptionally good at everything the other girls were good at. The vocalists, dancers, writers, visual artists, fashion girlies etc

That's why over the past 22 years we've genuinely had to argue about

Beyonce vs Ashanti

Beyonce vs Alicia

Beyonce vs Kelly

Beyonce vs Keri

Beyonce vs JHUD

Beyonce vs Ciara

Beyonce vs Amerie

I honestly wished that Bey and Parkwood were that savvy at storytelling and foreshadowing the visuals concept, but they have shown us on multiple occasions during the trilogy, they just are not.. They are handling a huge tour, one of the biggest this year, if not THE, and they simply can't handle some of the smallest things. I can't register that they can not make sure the props properly work, but someone had the bright idea to start intertwining the setlist with the visuals. I don't even believe that's on Bey's mind.

I believe as ppl stated, it's just them adding one of her current #1 singles, that just so happened to be apart of the current trilogy.  BMS was bigger than most ppl give it credit for, and it lasted for a pretty good minute off of being authentic. It's natural for her to add the song to the set list, especially if one of the biggest market is where she's playing over 5 shows. She's no stranger to changing the heavy hitters in the set, so adding this song for what, 1.5 minutes doesn't hold the weight ppl trying to figure out the visuals want it to be.

And this is in no way a slight to you, but I'm over ppl trying to figure out the visuals from a woman that's a professional troll at the hand of these damn videos!

yeah that part of the hive has to stop with the constant delusional theories, you'd think they'd be tired of it by now. if at least the theories made a lick of sense i could get it, but most of them don't (looking at you "Beyoncé is dressed as Darla from Finding Nemo to tease act iii being rock" nonsensical theory :rip:)

we're talking about the woman and her team who aren't capable of sending a book on time, or having vinyls ready for an album release or who can't get robots to work correctly for more than two nights in a row. but we're supposed to believe they somehow manage to tease a billion different things through obscure easter eggs half a decade before they even happen ? yeah, no :suburban:
