The minute Taylor gets any pushback, she is no longer Shakespeare or The Music Industry. She is a weak little artist being pushed around or on a hate train. The Taylor Swift Machine makes money. Real money, hand over fist. She brings asses to seats in theaters and stadiums and eyes to the screen. She has the power to elbow her way into a beloved Disney franchise and get MTV to create an award for her. She is at the tip top and honestly can't be cancelled(part of the reason her silence on actual real things going on in the world is pathetic but I digress). Just the thought of using her song in It Ends With Us was enough to push the studio over the edge to allow Blakes edit to be used in f*cking theaters. That whole saga (leaked texts) showed how she knows how to use her influence and plot behind the scenes. In no way does Olivia have any equal or higher footing than that girl! So let's please exist in reality.

This is so true. They want singers and actors to risk their dreams and livelihoods when the crowd will move on to the next cause and leave their career in ruins (see Melissa Barrera). At least the Columbia students risked their degrees and some their visas. Get off your phone and put your livelihood on the line before you demand it from others. And when the conflict doesn't change bc you refused to adequately boycott the real players (NOT Ed Sheeran) or light up the actual politicians, youll sit on your phones making fun of the "flops" tptb ruined for saying anything. We all see how this entertainment industry is run like a mafia. Even the ones at the top need the cabal for events, media, marketing and distribution. The top top. Came across some clips of her on SM and I like what she had to say. I appreciated the maturity around making songs about specific people and recognizing how damaging and uneven that can be. Particularly when the audience can identify and target those people. She appears to be the type that would appreciate these numbers and she seems to make music for the love of it. I wish her well.
