So if it was before Beyonce....then that means it was happening much earlier than Kim K. so what's the point that we were supposed to learn there?? why is Beyonce supposed to be following after Kim K & in what capacity on a model that she had already done?

Are you going to be dense and pretend that "I break the internet, top two and I ain't number two" wasn't a direct jab at Kim K? Break the internet was not a saying until that magazine, period. You're more upset by the Kim K comparison rather than the entire paragraph about marketing that preluded it.

It irks me how they always have to bring up Bey when interviewing Chloe or Halle, it just sounds so rude. Instead of asking about their life and projects they’re asking about Bey and for any album tea:rip: I get that they’re affiliated with her but it’s going to be such a pain for them to try and step out of that shadow.

Any black female entertainer for that matter, Tinashe, Normani, and now Chloe all have been tried to be compared to Bey it’s so disrespectful to everyone, they should all be praised for their own specific talents and not pushed into a box of being “the next beyoncé”. But it also goes to show the lasting impact Bey has made in the industry

You know your Kim K point was bullshit & now taking it back to a totally different song and moment that's not relevant to now. Just like I thought.

The term, "breaking the internet" that is in the song "Top Off" is not relevant to the exact conversation about "breaking the internet" we're having right now? :hoetenks: Girl not only 24 hours ago were you confused about the Spotify streaming debacle and asking how it has impacted commercially. I don't think this conversation about marketing, promotion, etc. is going anywhere.

If I have to see one more “Bey’s team knows what they are doing”… they are not geniuses who can’t make wrong moves. They’ve made SEVERAL wrong ones, especially post Lemonade.

Anyways, I agree with whoever talked about the social media aspect being messy. First of all, I will NEVER understand why they are so against promoting her OWN music on her page?? They will dedicate literally 15 posts and +5 stories towards Ivy Park… yet the box sets? 0 posts/stories. The vinyl? 0 posts/stories. It makes no sense :rip: Do they think it’s “un-Queenlike” to merely mention your own music :rip: Right now it’s literally only fans who follow fan accounts who will find out about the vinyl or whatever comes next.

Secondly, the bio **** is already tired :deadbanana4: Again, a story would be WAYYY more affective and reach way more people :rip: I really want to know their reasoning behind choosing a no1curr bio over a story or post…

Neither of which correlates. You lost.

Also I think it’s important to remember that Beyoncé’s greatest hits made no traction on the charts at time of release. BMS is already on better grounds for a strong chart run than some other bey tracks

Im confident there will be a video just maybe not WHEN we want to see the video nor when it will be the most advantageous for the song’s chart run. And that is OK. Arts not the charts or farts

I'm just gonna leave it that :ahh: , I'm literally talking to a brick wall and the Kim K comment clearly has you bothered. Way to derail the topic.

It's the same team that is currently also butchering Chloe because they are simply not capable to guide her properly. They can't read the room :cm:

stupid take. Like what speaks against timely rollouts? There is 0 to lose.

If you’re meaning songs like CIL debuting bottom half of Hot 100 then rising, then that’s a very poor comparison. The way music charts is completely different. 99% of songs released by A-listers will peak within the first 4 weeks, if not the debut week itself.

It is really only songs by more lowkey artists or post-album singles that take time to gain traction.

So yeah, reality is if Bey doesn’t do something for BMS quickly, it will have reached its streaming peak last week.

And there it is, Beyonce knows that and if she is doing what she is saying or hinting towards, she wants to try things the traditional route and is thinking long term.

She is an innovator, we know that.

Idk, This doesn’t make sense though, if it’s arts not charts then why not just do the old dump and go? It seems foolish from a business perspective and I can understand the frustration as a fan, especially when you see posts that her team shares about the rollout of the album. At times, I do wonder if Bey or her team just isn’t as savvy as we may think(relative to her reputation and stature). Every rollout has been a bit of a mess since IASF, if we’re keeping it real.

also, which of her greatest hits do you mean? Damn near all of them did great on the charts aside from RTW and Formation..

The video Russell Westbrook posted on his Twitter 6 hours ago of him dancing and singing along to “Break My Soul” already has 2.8 MILLION views. :deadbanana2:

I don't know if that makes sense, though. 2022 consumering music is a lot different than 2000s consumption of music, hell even different than 2016. This is a "get it and go" generation that moves on very quickly if you're not in their faces on a constant basis. A song like BMS isn't gonna help long term in the US if there is no proper attention to it from Bey herself.

Btw, let's talk about the real upcoming star of Parkwood:

Little Mermaid, Colour Purple, new music, her demeanor, her beauty - she's going to kill the second half of 2022 and 2023. Mark my words!

I’ve always seen it for Halle over Chloe since they were little. I’m so excited for her era!

I think part of Parkwood's overall strategy is scarcity. Even though this era is meant to be accessible to everyone, they're still finding small ways to make bey exclusive. It could be a tactic to avoid oversaturation and give her longevity. imagine if we had everything done "right" during st and lemonade in terms of promo, certain things she's doing now would be less exciting.

or, it could be laziness :bibliahh:

i kinda hope the album is structured like a dj mix where every song flows into the other. or that act ii is something like that if it’s a second album i love when artists connect their songs like that and it would mean non stop club bops  :gaycatina1:
