EIL being a random drop like halfway through their joint tour and The Gift also just randomly being announced on IG after the official Lion King soundtrack had already been released and promoted with Spirit  and then that documentary like months later and BIK a whole year later

The tour pre-sales used to always have me shitting my pants and going full panic mode. This time I'll be aiming for the $800 BeyHive sections now that I'm adulting and I can afford it. 

I think though it's not hard to see why she has been so silent... 1) the twins 2) she was technically "on a break" and 3) the pandemic...I am not a superstar and even I barely saw friends, barely posted on social media in the way I used to, was really down about the world and not wanting to do my "usual" or whatever. Plus she always said she'd have kids and retire. She's not doing that so we should at least be thankful for what we are getting...

 

... as for this rollout, I cannot say BUT I would assume she's saving her actual promo/Beyoncé-access for closer to album release day when she can use all its impact. I just think she's far more considered, understands the weight of her voice/appearance more than ever, and isn't looking to do more than she has to.

I don't disagree. But yeah.. f them. Those moments were truly a treat for alot of us. We now have rich black girl tik tok and corporate Baddie content. Don't be mad that Bey can walk the walk. I've discussed with other Hive groups how women are supportive and understanding until Beyonce is brought up. Women who you thought were cool at that. 

 

I want her to stop feeling "bad" for being successful and conventionally attractive. No need to walk on eggshells and play humble. Maybe this Renaissance will be her unapologetic tbh. People need to end their imaginary beef with Beyonce.

You also couldn’t watch the film anywhere without buying the entire album, and she sporadically put some of the videos on YouTube throughout the year. The Formation video wasn’t even uploaded to YouTube unlisted until December 2016.

it goes back to what I was saying about how she's branded more like a luxury good these days than an accessible popstar (and how this has helped her attain her legend-status at a quicker rate than her peers and perhaps most legends). if you want it, you need to get it, and even just seeing it around will be a rarity not a commonality.

 

the elusivenss has commercial implications, but just like a Rolls Royce/Cadillac, they may not sell the most cars, but they REMAIN the idea of what a "standard" is in the industry as far as "best of the best" (I don't know cars and if they live up to their reputation of luxury/excellence or not, but the names indeed are still synonmous with those things). We say "it's the Rolls Royce of baby strollers", and stuff like that still.

it will be interesting to see what kind of promo is done...obv Beyonce is still not on board with interviews & idk what's going to change it. the Vogue guy was invited inside her house and still didnt get an interview. he got 1 quote out of a whole dinner. i dont really care...i just want to see some performances & hear more descriptions of the album from verified sources.

 

For my fellow acapella lovers. I hope one day we get just the vocal stem. She sounds sooooo good!

- Impact of Super Bowl / Boycott Beyonce

- The Performances (+ Making Of)

- The FWT (+ Making Of)

The album will only become more acclaimed, studied and revered overtime. 

Theres one thing I hate about this whole "future"-type-of-legacy-talk: The assumption we all, Bey included, make it to our 60/70/80s. We take this for granted, but do u actually know? Look at the pandemic, the constant wars, the political situations all around the world, diseases, global warming and its effects,  etc - literally NOTHING is guaranteed and we all need to start living in the moment, Bey included. U never know, so seize the moment and milk it

It might work out in her favor. We just have to go with the flow of life. Beyoncé is spiritual as well, and you can tell she moves with spiritual intent - which is why she is always on the zeitgeist.

that's true, the world could end.... but in general assuming something major doesn't happen, something tells me that the FWT is already edited and ready to go and Beyoncé could drop it whenever, place it in a vault to be unlocked at a certain day, etc... I highly doubt she has an unorganized temperature controlled digital vault.

Yea. It sucks, but I understand. I’d feel the same. Not saying it’s right, and I want her to be free of all the guilt.

 

And I’d be shocked if this was her unapologetic era. I don’t think she’s there yet. And I’m not sure the climate would be right for that anyway.

Opinion over here: Yvette is **** for Beys career. Looking through her IG these past days in hopes for news, all I see is her gassing up her clients. Shes a yes-sayer with no boundary-pushing ideas. Thats the vibe I get from her. Cancel ha!

She's in a damned if you do, damned if you don't predicament. The fact of the matter is that the only people taking issue in these things are lowlifes with a history of Beyoncé hatred, that's always the pattern. I think the Hive should just ignore them going forward. She's had detractors criticising her every move since the beginning of the career (just take a look at her R&R Hall of Fame page), yet at the end of the day she's still standing and killing it 20+ years in. Let the rabble talk.

Talking about 60s/70s/80s reminded me that when I was coming back from The Netherlands last week, I saw 4 people in the train to Paris around 70 years old all dress in custom Rolling Stones' outfits : jean jackets with RS and that red tongue, tour t-shirts, the lady even had nails done with their colors. They were hardcore stans probably coming back from one of their concerts.

And it had me thinking : I am in my 30s, busy as hell with life and work but I just can't shake the need to follow B or talk about her with other stans online.

I thought to myself : that would probably be me in my 70s still stanning B hard or proudly happily coming back from her concerts where I would have dragged my husband or maybe we'll have grandchildren by then lol. 

I wish that for me or for us tbh. 

 

I still love the song so much, I don't know who said the last chorus wasn't needed but that one hits!!!!
