No joke. Going back and listening to all of her old material (even the DC stuff), watching the videos and comparing to the sound she's going for now really puts a stamp on the legendary career she's had thus far. Assessing the growth is astounding. I don't think I've been this obsessed with Bey in nearly a decade, probably.

i think performing at the BET awards should be fine though (if it happens). Enough time will have passed by then.

Is it just me or why do politics have to play such a big part in whatever happens in the music industry? I get that it is related to drawing the public's attention and media coverage but music doesn't always have to be interdependent on politics.

Unfortunately politics in the US have been so extremely toxic that it has interweaved itself in all parts of culture/entertainment arguably more so than ever before. Honestly the turning point was Trump and it’s been heightened since then.

Just watched some of the Hot One's interview with the spicy chicken wings and I'd LOVE to Bey do that. The host asks some really great questions and the celebs seem to really enjoy themselves overall. I feel that would be the perfect setting for Bey to let lose while still getting asked great questions. Also, I lowkey feel she'd smash it out the gate. Her Houstonian ass would kill it

Its really based on motives.

 

You have some celebs that will speak out or use their platform to gain awareness. Then you have others who do it for a check cause its a trend. 
 

I can see Bey making a song or even speaking on what happened today cause … she a feminist, she has many songs that are about women being strong and etc, and a high % of her fans are women.
