Week 4: peaks with album release sales. 

IMO recipe for an organic top 10 (at the very least) 

I really don't think they care about which tracking day is the best considering the digital single is already out on a Tuesday, it makes no sense to hold the video back

Even though I wanted a mostly solo album, the direction of BMS is pointing towards to the idea that we might have a lots of collab on other tracks. Like she’s a host of a dance party with many guests joining. I’m excited

I'm listening to an Apple Music streaming playlist with BREAK MY SOUL and songs interspersed (for streaming points lol) and wow it's so interesting to hear it in the context of her other songs... this is perhaps the biggest "jump" in sound of her career? I mean usually if she evolved her sound it kind of related to something she did prior, like If I Were A Boy and Halo taking on a bit more of the AC flare of Irreplaceable or Formation sort of continuing some of the trap she played with on ST.

I heard this too. More pictures came out from the spread yesterday so it wouldn’t surprise me if there’s more article. But we won’t know until someone goes out and buys the mag

I'm not super well versed in house music, though I am quite familiar with it and have danced to it many many times at clubs but the difference between Beyoncé's use and Drake's is pretty obvious. I hate to just compare two uses and artists like this, but when I listen from Apple Music's "TOP SONGS" section they play a Drake track right after and it sounds so much muddier than BREAK MY SOUL...which is so tight and clean, the production feels very authentic, from what I can tell.

It took FOREVER to log in.  Maybe because I haven't done so in a minute.

 

I like the song, and pleasantly surprised at the direction she's going in.   The only part I'm iffy about is her rapping.  It sounds out of place, like it doesn't fit the flow of the rest of the song.  Curious to see if she sticks with 90s house for the other songs or moves around the decades.  Maybe Donna or Diana inspired?
