Mariah Carey is still angry about her time with Tommy Mottola
When I think of The Demo Tape, it's the four song one Mariah and Ben sent to various labels. The lore of that is quite specific.

Yes, it's wrong. The original demo Mariah and Ben shopped around was four songs (the latter three of what you typed were on it, I'm having a brain fart on the fourth). After she was signed, they wrote more songs. That 12 track demo, which had VOL and Vanishing on it, Tommy brought in producers to rework the songs. Ric Wake was asked to do Someday. From there, they wrote four songs. There's Got To Be A Way came from that writing session. Rhett Lawrence did VOL. He's the one who described it as a 50s sort of shuffle. But Mariah has always said she wrote VOL after getting signed to Columbia. People are confusing two different tapes. The demos of Vanishing and Someday that leaked are from the second one. '

Nope. Mariah has said repeatedly that VOL was written after she signed with CBS/Columbia. It was about getting signed, so not really a love song. There were only four songs on the demo, two of them (Someday, Alone In Live) made the album.

Diddy denied bail, prostitution sentencing on Oct.3rd (likely 4yrs max)
No, it was never brought up by the government. There was zero mention of it in the indictment and during the trial. That was only alluded to by that Tony Buzbee attorney last year when he said he had 150 civil cases against Diddy and two of them were minors (aged 9 and 14). He was going to bring charges in a week. That was October of last year.

Mariah's Type Dangerous debuted at #95 on the hot 100 chart. What went wrong?
When this is the plan: With the midnight release of Carey's new single, "Type Dangerous," the ultimate challenge begins. Among the heights Carey wants to reach is having a 20th number-one single—which would tie her with the Beatles—and then a 21st. It's the music equivalent of LeBron James breaking Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's NBA all-time scoring record. And Carey is counting on Jackson to put her on top of music's Mount Olympus I don't think "at least it charted" was the plan they were going for. I think Mariah's team need to be more realistic here.

Update: Sexual assault case against Jay-Z dismissed
So, I saw on LSA that he didn't have that tatoo on back in 2000. So there's that.

Beyoncé
I remember someone from Beyonce's crew said something that really stuck with me. Lemonade is about how a black woman's pain can be of biblical proportions. Some people all they saw and heard was "he cheated on me and now I'm mad!". The songs are just songs and the videos are just videos. That's fine, but that was not the message Beyonce was going for.

Update: Sexual assault case against Jay-Z dismissed
Because the initial lawsuit, which was hinted at by that Bebuzz attorney, only named Diddy publicly. He's made vague comments about two other these involved in this particular case since October. Allegedly, Jay Z, Diddy and the unknown female celebrity was named by the accuser and the attorney contacted Jay Z to settle or get sued civilly. That's how I understand it.

This is not a blind or tea. Tommy admits this in his book, which came out back in 2013.

Actual conversation I had with a conspiracy nutter. Diddy is accused of all these sex crimes, blah blah blah. Me: Oh really? Yeah, and Jay Z is next to be accused. Beyonce filed for divorce. But they're waiting until Diddy's trial is over to make it public. Me: Were did you hear that? That's what they are saying Me: Who, the news? No, they. Me: Who's they? Sources. Me: What sources, like CNN? No, sources. I know people. And Beyonce is worse than Jay Z. Me: Wait. How is she worse than a sex trafficker? Well, she worships Satan.

It's hard for celebrities to sue for libel in the US because you have to show it did you some harm in some way. Like you personally or your livelihood. And that there was actual malice, which I think it the hardest part to prove.

Mariah Carey
I'm curious to know how much Mariah actually rehearses. And maybe she should brush up on the lyrics to ILT. I think she's missed her cue to lip in every performance so far.

I think it was Variety who mentioned it first, like a month before Vogue Italy did. Jun 16, 2022 12:27pm PT Beyoncé to Feature Dance and Country Songs on ‘Renaissance’ Multi-Part Album (EXCLUSIVE) https://variety.com/2022/music/news/beyonces-renaissance-album-dance-country-1235296574/

Mariah Carey
Didn't Mariah say during Covid times that she was never going to tour again? Maybe its something simple like she doesn't really want to tour, but got talked into a mini arena one. And she has to promote and such, but is clearly not into it and can't fake it. So she's giving the bare minimum.

Baltimore is pretty tragic (and the arena has always sucked, all the way back when it was still 1st Mariner). Hollywood Bowl is almost sold out. The rest are between these two:

It's not even that. The person was outed as being a troll and the "letter" was fake.

She's not suing the IRS. All she's done so far (according to Forbes), is file a petition.

I remember when Liron got ran out of FOMM because she was caught in a lie. And it was something similar. She/Mariah said something was coming/promised etc, then backtracked. Liron tried to say "i never said that". People showed receipts, she threw a hissy fit and left.

How far back do you want to go? I'm assuming a couple of decades, since there seems to be some discussion on Madonna. Linda Ronsdadt
