As I was driving home from work, listening to my beyonce megaplaylist, it dawned on me that we might potentially get the tour announced soon if the rumors are true, and it left a pit in my stomach.

Beyonce doesn't need every song on each album to be 100 million streams for validation. especially albums that are already multi-platinum. Beyonce is from the 90s...it’s okay if she's not Gen Z's #1 artist.

True. But those other pop girls aren’t releasing Bey quality albums. That’s my frustration with it all. It’s nothing serious of course, just wish more people knew of the 10/10s with single potential (not necessarily bad album tracks like Start Over or Sandcastles ). 
 

I’ll give an example. Someone mentioned earlier that performances and stuff don’t drive streams/popularity/sales. So no point in her showing up to award shows, etc. But I distinctly remember during the 4 era, while we were in the trenches on pop forums and Bey’s new team was trying to get a single to stick, how the VMA performance of LOT felt like it gave the era a second wind. The song shot up into the BB top 20 and the rest is history. Despite it not being a top 10 single, I’m actually very ok with its current success, cause I can sing it karaoke and ppl know it. nnn
 

Without that singular performance, I imagine we’d be talking about Love On Top like we do some of these other album tracks that could have been singles. And remember, BTINH was the single at the time, LOT came out of nowhere in terms of timing (some stans were even annoyed she picked that song until the reveal of course).

In that same way, there’s just no telling what a performance of any one Rene song could do. There’s so much potential there.  I would hate hate hate for Virgos Groove to die in obscurity.

Total guess work, but because Peacock isn't where the Rennie visuals will live I think she's spreading the love across different platforms.

 

Not just for the sake of it. But because it's routine for platforms to re-push content when there's buzz around it's nucleus. Notice how, for example, Netflix will be smashing with a Wednesday and a platform that has The Addams Family movies (Prime Video) will push it to the front page for residual benefit? I can see that being the case with Bey/Ren. Let's say those Ren visuals drop on HBO Max (shudders), I can see Netflix pushing Homecoming a little, Disney doing the same with BIK, and Peacock with OTR. Nothing major, but even strategic homepage placements. 

 

It'll all add to the general buzz around her.

The vocals on Freakum Dress are so underrated. That bridge rivals Love On Top in terms of ability argue with ya mama

maybe it’s just being a sissy but Pure/Hunty is truly her best song ever imo 

 

beautiful vocal moments that showcase a wide range from her rich speaking voice to those heavenly highs, the incredible sample usage, the beat in both sections goes OFF but also transitions wonderfully

 

idk it just ticks a lot of boxes for me and makes me feel vibrant

It really shook me to my core on first listen, easily the most immediate Beyonce song I've loved on first listen, right next to Haunted & PYCM and Bigger

Would like it somewhere more visible but actually glad it's not on any of the bigger streaming services because I think the tour theme/visuals are kind of problematic, tacky and wouldn't do her brand any favours. Save the better stuff like Lemonade, Rennie Film/Doc and Maybe another live concert (formation tour?) for HBO/Amazon/Netflix.

The important thing about this is that it shows Parkwood haven't forgotten her old material. This could of easily of been left in the Vault, so this gives hope for Lemonade getting put somewhere. All of this random activity lately is definitely leading to something happening soon.
