Girl stfu. Let people be upset by the lack of performances and visuals. She is the performer of her generation, it would make sense that a lot of people stan her because of the visual. If Beyoncé just dropped albums without giving me visuals I would never have became a stan. So, those of us who live for the looks, the live vocals, the choreography are suffering. Bottom of the barrel ass fan, everything isn’t about charts, but there’s more to artistry than the actual album.

Well, she has been taking six years break and not to mentioned she gave us EIL/OTR/OTR11/BIK/TG which no one really asked for.

 

Like I said, I don't mind if she didn't wanna do promo, interviews, proper rollout if she wants to spend time with Jay Z, but please just announce a retirement so that we won't be keep on waiting and speculating and having meltdown every other days.

This post is a little off-topic but damn, seeing this makes me want to own more pieces of the first drop.

I was only able to get the maroon cargo pants and that white soccer shirt. I was panicking when I finally got into the online shop and then there was this timer appearing saying that I have 5 minutes to complete my purchase.
Maybe I'll buy some of the things on stockx or ebay soon.

This is gonna sound over the top af, but this waiting for the visual moment has been such an eye-operner as a stan. I thought we all kinda stanned for Queen (and understood her... for better or worse) in the same way or at least similar ways. But it's been interesting to see the various corners of the standom in action. 

 

Make no mistake: We ALL want the visuals. And the visuals ABSOLUTELY should have been released ages ago. Balls HAVE been dropped.

 

Here's why I'm still baffled by the moaners, though: when falling into mud, surely the natural instinct is to think overtime about how to get out of the sticky situation and scrub up well so no one notices too much. What the daily moaners do here is the equivalent of SITTING in said mud, while moaning about being dirty. NOTHING COMES FROM IT. Not literally. Not conversationally. Not ideologically. Not...anything. Why wilfully sit in that?

 

(In this instance, I see valuable convo as talking about what we want to happen, speculating on the ish we do know, and searching out for info. Yet when some of us do, we're deemed delusional. Compared to what? Repeating the same complaints every SINGLE day?

 

Call me delu, but I both believe and know that artist teams read forums like this. So, outside of expressing views, I'll always see valuable, forward-thinking convo as most worth it) 

 

I vividly remember how "art and not the charts" so many in the Base were before Ren. Shooting down all wishes/speculation from us Chart Hive around the things we want for her to do well in the "new climate" (pre orders, bundling, merch etc). Only to fast forward to now and many of those are the MOST VOCAL about how the lack of videos are harming her commercial performance etc. Their delivery being at best emotional and at worst repetitive and unstable. The latter being wild to me because the album, its songs, and her critical acclaim are all doing well during this very wait period. We also KNOW said visuals are coming.

 

The success of BMS was the ultimate game-changer IMO because it saw a lot of those screaming "art not charts" switch thee f up and become led by exactly that. Meanwhile, ironically those of us who kept our wants and expectations for the era around more tangible, predictable, and market-informed metrics (e.g. the various things she needed to do to viably compete on the charts like preorders, vinyls, merch bundles, etc) are quite content even amidst our frustrations. 

 

Anyway, Queen ought to hurry with this drop so we can all get back on the same page lol. 

Decided to listen to Midnight but quickly switching up to REN. Congrats to her on all of her success but REN is the album of the year for me.

She gave us Beychella/Homecoming and BIK during that “six year break” which are OUTSTANDING projects. Hell, she got two #1’s during that “break”. We are not the Navy, who would actually be well within their rights to riot if Rihanna gives them ANYTHING half-assed or mediocre.

 

Now did I care for EIL/TG/OTR2(even though I still went ) as much as others? Absolutely not. But with a 25 year career, there’s bound to be things I don’t like as much. But look at every other artist who has been in the game as long our fave. They arent ******* with her catalog in the SLIGHTEST chile.

 

And I’m not buying you wanting her to announce retirement either. That’s insane. She may start taking longer breaks and doing things she, herself wants to do, but that’s okay! She has earned that! And we as fans are going to have to accept it bc she doesn’t HAVE to do anything 

Tbh I’m done caring about the botched Ren rollout, I just hope her team is fixing their mistakes for Act 2

Freedia's really the best part of BMS
