As I said originally, this woman has been working for damn near 30 years, she don’t owe a single one of us a damn thing and it’s outrageous for y’all to act like some brats over an album rollout this far into her career. Only reason you’d be upset is if you wanted to see all these stats to go with it that she quite obviously doesn’t give a damn about, so the message you should be receiving from her is, ‘didn’t do it for Billboard’. 
 

I really do love having discussion with the Hive and have had some great times in here but just as y’all feel validated in speaking your “frustrations” I’m just letting y’all know how it looks from another fans perspective.  I don’t have to agree with any of you and you don’t have to agree with me. Just got tired of seeing the same negativity over and over again and felt like saying something yesterday. Imagine me posting this every single day the way y’all do your issues…girl it is tired and exhausting. I hope y’all can rebound from whatever dark hole you’ve sunken into from this album rollout because I genuinely enjoy many of you, but this thread has just become depressing as a result of your boredom and selfishness. Wishing you all well on this journey to the visuals!

I couldn’t have said it better. They’re very selfish. The woman has given us immaculate content for over 20 years, working and grinding tirelessly. She finally decides to do things at her own pace, where she feels comfortable and suddenly it’s a problem. I could’ve understand their sentiments if she was a new artist but she’s a 41 year old vet. Let the woman live. My god. I hope she doesn’t release anything else going forward.

No one was looking forward to an adele or Harry video. I was even shocked when they dropped. Everyday there’s a viral tweet about the visuals for renaissance, she’ll be fine and if not so what? I’ve said this from day one but most of these frustrations are tied to renaissance not maximizing its commercial performance.  Else why do y’all care about about the GP?

Neither is a visual artist. 

And Harry's videos don't make a splash but the songs sure do. LNT had a video that made no noise and still, the song is a hit and he's still pulling more than 7k pure and is a fixture in the top 10.

Please, don't insult her. You know, you could have worded this differently. 

 

But yes, Surprise wasn't a good decision. But Chloe wanted Surprise too tbh, she was so disappointed when Surprise didn't win the poll. The fans (your consumers) literally voted and picked what they wanted, some huge companies lose dollars on marketing to know exactly what the consumers wants and likes. But when the customer tells you for free and you ignore them... It makes no sense to me. I hope FTN can still do something.

Listening to Rih's Black Panther theme and these other girls and guys just aren't delivering to the standard Bey is. Not vocally. Not sonically. Not anything. And I say this as someone who actually loves Rih. 

 

IMO, 98-Out really triggered the Hive and made them treat the track like a discarded problem child. 

 

For me, it's one of those real banner moments that make me so annoyed by stan culture sometimes. Way too often quality is measured by a) whether a song sounds like it'll be a braggable hit. A receipt in later stan war and b) whether or not it ends up becoming a hit or not. 

 

Maybe it was release night hype, but I will NEVER forget how in love the Hive were when it dropped. "OMG, the key change"..."Best Bey ballad in YEARS"..."instant soundtrack classic". 98-out happened and the very same people (like very same) slam it. I was....flabbergasted lol.

Except the hive was dragging Spirit the night it came out. Just like we did with Be Alive. Obviously some loved it but I remember the drags. One thing about the hive, we will always be honest with our opinions unlike other fanbases who will ignore the quality and run to stream and buy. I love that about us

I loved "Spirit" and "Be Alive" when they were released and I love them now. Both fantastic soundtrack releases.
