Girl stfu. Let people be upset by the lack of performances and visuals. She is the performer of her generation, it would make sense that a lot of people stan her because of the visual. If Beyoncé just dropped albums without giving me visuals I would never have became a stan. So, those of us who live for the looks, the live vocals, the choreography are suffering. Bottom of the barrel ass fan, everything isn’t about charts, but there’s more to artistry than the actual album.

She had given a career FULL of all those things and there is quite clearly more to come for this era and more.

“those of us who live for the looks, etc are suffering” lmfao that cannot be healthy luv. I love all those things you mentioned just as much as the next Beyoncé stan but the way some of y’all flat out diss Bey in here is wild.

This is gonna sound over the top af, but this waiting for the visual moment has been such an eye-operner as a stan. I thought we all kinda stanned for Queen (and understood her... for better or worse) in the same way or at least similar ways. But it's been interesting to see the various corners of the standom in action.

Make no mistake: We ALL want the visuals. And the visuals ABSOLUTELY should have been released ages ago. Balls HAVE been dropped.

Here's why I'm still baffled by the moaners, though: when falling into mud, surely the natural instinct is to think overtime about how to get out of the sticky situation and scrub up well so no one notices too much. What the daily moaners do here is the equivalent of SITTING in said mud, while moaning about being dirty. NOTHING COMES FROM IT. Not literally. Not conversationally. Not ideologically. Not...anything. Why wilfully sit in that?

(In this instance, I see valuable convo as talking about what we want to happen, speculating on the ish we do know, and searching out for info. Yet when some of us do, we're deemed delusional. Compared to what? Repeating the same complaints every SINGLE day?

Call me delu, but I both believe and know that artist teams read forums like this. So, outside of expressing views, I'll always see valuable, forward-thinking convo as most worth it)

I vividly remember how "art and not the charts" so many in the Base were before Ren. Shooting down all wishes/speculation from us Chart Hive around the things we want for her to do well in the "new climate" (pre orders, bundling, merch etc). Only to fast forward to now and many of those are the MOST VOCAL about how the lack of videos are harming her commercial performance etc. Their delivery being at best emotional and at worst repetitive and unstable. The latter being wild to me because the album, its songs, and her critical acclaim are all doing well during this very wait period. We also KNOW said visuals are coming.

The success of BMS was the ultimate game-changer IMO because it saw a lot of those screaming "art not charts" switch thee f up and become led by exactly that. Meanwhile, ironically those of us who kept our wants and expectations for the era around more tangible, predictable, and market-informed metrics (e.g. the various things she needed to do to viably compete on the charts like preorders, vinyls, merch bundles, etc) are quite content even amidst our frustrations.

Anyway, Queen ought to hurry with this drop so we can all get back on the same page lol.

You snapped and I appreciate every word of this post! :clap3:

Its not about success or failure, its about enjoyment as a fan. Simple as that.

And complaining is a way of venting. Thats literally all. No need for dissertations.

In defense of Hive who once said "arts not the charts" and now want commercial success, Bey hasn't released an album with this much commercial potential in ages. For the first time in over a decade we actually got a release date for the album, a lead single that actually went top 10 with no album out, preorders and an interview (written). I wouldn't be surprised if some of the members in here were toddlers or not even born when IASF was released.

I don't see the need to mope around and be mad (although I am enjoying the dragging's :fan:). She simply dropped the ball this era and will suffer from it in the long run.

some you guys need to know that she meant what she sung in Break My Soul

"I just quit my job
I'm gonna find new drive
Damn, they work me so damn hard
Work by nine, then off past five
And they work my nerves
That's why I cannot sleep at night

I'm lookin' for motivation
I'm lookin' for a new foundation, yeah
And I'm on that new vibration
I'm buildin' my own foundation, yeah
Hold up, oh, baby, baby
You won't break my soul"

She's simply not breaking her back to please anyone and doing thing her own way. We're not getting any standalone visuals until the whole rollout of this next phase is ready

For this though, does the timeliness of it matter? When BIK came out, we were all here for it despite it being a year after the album. I don't recall anyone saying its been a year, we don't care anymore... Homecoming was a year after Coachella, didn't matter.

A lot of the fussing seems more tied to commercial opportunity tbh, because we know we are getting visuals, performances (or at least a tour) and even more music in the next year. As a fan I'm excited for them when they come and they will have their moment.

I appreciate those of you who get where I am coming from though. Of course we would all love to have the visuals now…but in no way has it tarnished the era or her legacy unless you are literally sitting here keeping score on your own grading scale.

It’s giving fans of the career, not the artist.

She's Beyoncé so her legacy is still intact but the lack of videos and handling of singles definitely tarnished the era. She had the entire summer to herself and did nothing with it :skull: There's no reason why her daily streams on Spotify should be that low.

Yes the time does matter. No one expected anything from BIK, it really was a gift to the fans. No one was expecting Homecoming, it was another gift to the fans. She actually teased fans with visuals twice within days of the album release yet here we are 3 months later without anything.

Who gives a **** about charts lol it's the fact that this era is far beneath her. Not one of us here could have predicted this is how Renaissance would go but some of us are more surprised or disappointed than others. That's fine imo. Clearly Ren as an era is the culmination of her post-4 withdrawal from acting like a sentient human being. I don't even follow her IG anymore because it was serving Madame Tussauds once a month. Defense Hive gets so riled up about anything even approaching criticism about this era, it's fascinating. @Cbreezy their post was very insightful post and not wrong at all about Chart Hive (Taylor really did a number on them, I almost feel sorry for them), but it goes both ways. Someone says this era is boring af and immediately they get eaten alive like by piranhas, it's hilarious. :deadbanana2: I'm just listening to Heated over and over again the music and waiting as months go by and Parkwood gets more insufferable and the YouTube app on my TV gathers dust waiting for her return. :gaycat6:

So you don't like being teased.... Fair. At this point its clear that nothing is imminent and we could be waiting until the new or even summer, so I hope you guys can move past that 2 month old teaser and just accept it'll catch you off guard in the coming year.

There's nothing wrong with being teased but don't get fans excited for things to come and then disappear with no end in sight. She could've easily held off on the teaser until things were ready to launch. The funny thing is the next time we'll probably see her is when she's asking us to spend more money on the tour :lmao:

She secretly setting a trend with promo-less rollouts. Watch other pop girls go silent they next era.

This is my BIG concern, Beyonce is VERRY influential and it seems she is heading into this because it works. She's sold and she knows a little promo here or there wont make it sell more or be streamed more due to how overwhelming music is right now with so much access.

I can see her not doing promo and it bleeding into other established acts.

I really wonder how Beyoncé is as a mom. Something tells me she's pretty chill but knows when to get you together with a quickness.

That's a really beautiful picture. Blue is growing so fast.

She's been doing that with her IG since 2016 tho, it's literally apart the aesthetic she's always doing. How would it be "Aubrey teas" if she was physically at the event and just didn't do the carpet?
