i'm not bothered by the lack of visuals tbh, but it is insulting to tell people to be patience after 3 months

It's pretty mid, I was expecting it to be groundbreaking. I'm so glad fave is a vocalist. The colors, dynamics, range, sex, the many characters to her voice. Some girls just make the same flat record over and over and end up sounding one dimensional. Whenever Bey releases an album, we never say "it sounds like 4, ST, Lemonade". Because it's much different from any of her previous work and she stays evolving.  

The amount of drags about "writing your own songs", which nothing for me as a consumer because 1. I will never relate to a millionaire and 2. My ears only care about the finished product.  Reneigh AOTY still I fear.

Why is it that Beyonce  who is veteran to the industry, and has sold an insurmountable amount of records, with an unparalleled amount of talent amongst her peers and younger, still seems like the underdog?  The quality of Renaissance is wild, and even more so when comparing it to other big artist albums, but now her project will be eclipsed for the remainder of the year, and probably next, including when she releases her visuals.  I think she missed the moment, unfortunately.

 

 

I mean, I would argue there’s a difference between being an underdog and just not being top dog, but regardless she’s mostly in this position because she wants to be.

 

There are so many hits she’s had on her hands in the past 10 years that she either sabotaged, refused credit for, or just didn’t seem to care about.

I’m convinced she was supposed to release in 2021 as rumors then suggest and did it last minute as per contract. She was too caught up recording 3 albums and didn’t have time for the visuals.  

RENAISSANCE really is AOTY. It's the only album that served universal acclaim from the critics, fans and GP alike. I can't think of another pop girl album that scored acclaim even on ATRL like RENAISSANCE did. That album thread was an eye opener because everybody really was getting their lives.

Re vinyls...Renaissance is not RnB though. 

 

Anyway I am also somehow convinced she was supposed to release last year around her birthday.

 

By the way I suppose the B'Day blog thing stopped. I haven't seen threads about it in a while. Grateful.

Even the OBH were floored. We love a woman who still has drive artistically, which is difficult to get not everybody has that!

Isn't there some actual solid evidence?  I swear an article or interview or something said she was going to release Renaissance last year (which correlated to the original rumors, and the weird cryptic tweets from that one tech company that said Bey would own everything by Christmas), as well as the tour rumors that were originally cancelled.

I expect nothing less than ground breaking, earth shattering visuals.

I think more so the girls are mad because she’s rolling her album out they way they wanted. It seems this album will be getting several visuals. Everyone was expecting the BMS video on release day. The fact that Taylor actually wrote out and posted her promo schedule is truly the antithesis of Beyoncé’s brand at this point, but it’s honestly the only thing ppl wanted. To see her taking B’s self-directorial visual storytelling approach but do it with all the proper promotional tactics is frustrating, to say the least.

Yeah I know. That’s the way it should be though. Even if the album is MID, Taylor would never do what Bey has done with REN. It’s a disgrace tbh. She is lucky she still has fans at this point because she acts like she doesn’t give a damn.
