Im still shocked that she allowed Beychella to be streamed live. I was watching it expecting for the stream to stop at any moment

I just don’t get why she didn’t at least just release a video for Break my Soul at the very least. If she had at least done that I don’t think we’d all be so pissed, but the fact we’re almost 3 months out from the album being out and nearly 5 months for the lead single it seems almost pointless for visuals at this point 

She scrapped the visuals because they were boring. Time for something new and exciting

She literally could've thrown together a standalone for Break My Soul, and included something else in whatever this other project is that she absolutely refuses to even address

 

Unfortunately for her, she's waited so long that she has missed her window, unless she has a huge plan (which I absolutely doubt).  She should've waited to release the album until she was ready, or not worried about doing whatever it is that she's doing.

Kind of confirms what I've always believed about her and how she feels about Beyoncé. Not hate, but definitely some kind of way.

 

For starters, Beyoncé's ride to solo superstardom coincided with Janet's fall from grace (the SB incident happened during the DIL era and Beyoncé actually opened the game with the Star Spangled Banner that year).

 

She was also dating Jermaine Dupri who came for Beyoncé at the time, essentially saying she'll be here today and gone tomorrow. Jermaine is messy and we all know this (see Kandi and Xscape).

 

She's given her props before though, so I guess that counts for something.

I saw that post from Janet and immediately felt the same. It’s kinda disappointing as a Janet fan. It feels so obvious that she really don’t fxxk with Bey like that. I personally think it was the comments Beyoncé made distinguishing her family from the Jackson’s. When an interviewer compared Matthew to Joe Jackson Bey said something to the tune of “I grew up middle class, my dad didn’t use us to get out of poverty” I remember Janet quoting Bey and she was furious. After that, I’m pretty sure it was a wrap. 

I just watched Taylor Swift’s video. I don’t follow anything she does and cannot tell you the name of a single Taylor Swift song since 2015. I thought it was kinda cute.

 

Good for Taylor fans getting a visual to coincide with her release. Poor us.

Cuff it with visuals will probably push the song for the holidays when people get together, party, drink so it's a no brainer. I suspect other songs that people are sleeping on will become hits too with the visuals. Beyoncé has a way with her visuals, that's why i think she is confident holding them right now, it will probably really gives this album new life and could probably survive the holiday drought. I'm kinda excited again tbh.

 

I hope we get Act II at the beginning of 2023.

Exactly. 
Like Formation video was separate from the Lemonade film and so was Spirit from Black is King. so why didn’t she do the same for Break My Soul if the rest of the visuals were gonna take so long? Ugh answers we’ll never know cause she also refuses to communicate to her own fans

So does Madonna and Mariah but strangely they both loves B and called her sweet. Even the annoying Christina Aguilera shown her love numerous times.

It truly makes no sense.
 

I think she was still finalizing the tracklist up until the release. So she probably didn’t have time. We saw her filming BMS the week the album dropped.
 

Which like…ok then don’t release it until it’s ready then?

Which again boils down to what ive been saying months ago: Bey is a great musician but a bad manager.

Nah, even before then. Janet felt some type of way about her when Bey went solo. When interviewers would mention Beyoncé she would always skimp through Bey & jump over to talk about Alicia Keys with high praise. It was def a difference when Bey was with DC which met with high praise compared to solo Bey. I think she allowed her fans, media & JD to get in her head. But who cares anyway.

Idk. Self titled was handled pretty flawlessly. 
 

she only started making mistakes once tidal came around 

 

I think it’s her team. She cleared house after 2013 creatively and just recently in 2021 brought in a Goldman Sachs exec to manage the business and strategy side. That’s why she’s doing Tiffany and Adidas visuals before anything else.

 

The executives at parkwood have their own agendas with her brand and it shows. Some have been more commerce oriented while others were more art oriented.
