If her own fans are complaining then you know it’s a bad sign. I don’t know why she released the album if she hadn’t everything ready to go. She can keep act 2 if it’s going to be like this :fan:

Love Bey but what was the purpose of releasing in June/July if you're going to wait well until after your September birthday to acknowledge it? How is she expecting to sustain this era? I get that there's no need in campaigning for streams that pay nil. But wouldn't you need to worry about maximizing  ticket sales?

She should have waited. No one was begging for Bey to drop if she's not actually ready to do anything. This is the most desd I've ever seen a fanbase in the middle of an era. And this isn't going to keep Gen Z interested.

A trailer released almost a month ago like who the hell does that? Without any induction of what it is, what’s its for, release date or anything. None of this make any sense. What’s so hard with being CLEAR and direct?  That’s why her engagement on her social platforms have gone down a lot, she’s not seeing a boost in her catalog due to her lack of clear direction. I mean  posted about the vinyls on Parkwood ig stories instead of hers as if that account has millions of followers. S**t is dumb

This is all I have been getting at since the beginning. It’s beyond frustrating as a fan. If they aren’t going to release things all at once (thank god) then at least communicate with the us on expectations. Don’t say you are going to have this amazing promo campaign and then leave everyone in the dust for months. The elusiveness worked for Self Titled but it’s been hurting the music/albums/streaming ever since Lemonade.

Yeah Gen Z seems to be paying her dust for the most part. And people forget there are 24/25 year old gen Z.

not the meltdowns again nnn

those linkedin receipts could be for anything, and also could be fake. if we assume they’re real, those people might have been hired to do anything, from Beyoncé’s documentary to Act II visuals or something we have no clue about yet.

Unfortunately if they don't see you, you don't exist. I don't think she should do what the others currently in the top 10 are doing. But to not properly push your #1 album and single?

This is coming off the back off Lemonade which really hurt her goodwill mind you.  Other 2000s and 2010s girls did much better with adapting and capturing a younger generation in the streaming era. After the Tidal fiasco, Beyonce seems to not realize that she has alot of ground to make up for. It's not enough to upload your music onto Spotify anymore. She missed that ship when she didn't put Lemonade on Spotify until 3 years later. That stunt should have lasted for 1 year maximum.

I still beleive the visuals are ready. Beyonce is simply being pretentious by thinking that the GP and Gen Z is going to wait for her and be so wowed by these delayed visuals. She should have multiple teasers and some sort of interview at this point.

It's tragic.

I think they need to do something for her catalogue. When Taylor drops or announces you see tye streams for hee past albums jump significantly. None of Beyoncé's old albums are even charting on the albums charts, which is interesting considering her albums bases approach.

Albums need hits for longevity, and BMS, is all we're getting our of RENAISSANCE, I don't see this album lasting long on the charts either.

But I stil have hope they have something up their sleeves. Beyoncé isn't as out of touch as she may appear.

It's clear as day they were ill prepared and have been thus far. I'm almost convinced at this point that the visuals are being delayed partly because they weren't ready in July.

Lets start discussing act ii or @Armani? questionable taste

maybe beyonce don't care about none of this bullshit yall are on about Gen Z & what they want?? she had her time...she doesn't have to be in her 40s begging teenagers to like her music when they have their own artists. Have some dignity.

She said it herself "If I gave 2 fucks about streaming numbers, I would've put Lemonade on Spotify. F**k you!"  What did that mean to you? What was your interpretation of that statement? Did you think she was going to go the extra mile to make sure she's #1 on Spotify daily streaming and all this other **** yall worried about?? Let's think logically.

Beyonce didn't come into this era announcing anything...ya'll made up the promo schedule & ideas in your head and trying to pass it off like Beyonce sold you an itinerary & isn't following through. it NEVER happened.

Some of you need to the find the same peace that Beyonce has found. You're in 2022 with a mindset Beyonce left behind in 2011. Catch up, its been 10 years. You're doing this to your own selves at this point.

Taylor has the benefit of being younger still, not bound to a marriage with kids like Blue is almost 10. Bey was her age during 4 and even Bey’s image then seemed more mature, I don’t know how to explain it. Taylor’s still very much giving popular college sorority girl. :skull: Gen Z is ageist, they act as if 41 is pushing 55. :rip: Even late 20s is perceived as “old” to them, it’s weird. Beyoncé is very much a millennial’s artist and I don’t think she can do much to appeal to the younger crowd. It’s not like her peers get massive boosts either.

when the Hive learns to evaluate Beyonce in the context of HER OWN career, music, sound, image, history instead of in comparison to what Taylor Swift is doing then healing will start to begin.

You don't see Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Pink, etc fans doing this.

I find the meltdowns annoying and a case most moaners purposefully overlooking the good to moan about the bad.

That said, the LinkedIn stuff is actually true. A quick search on there proves it. Several post-production freelancers were onboarded in July/August. One fresh from Marvel excitingly. Could be for anything, but the timing is telling. Especially as she was filming into July (as proven by that leaked Alien clip).

Now, this I agree with.

I think it's ok to remain positive and optimistic (as I am), while acknowledging the unavoidable. Whether the videos were meant to drop July 29th or shortly after, it's clear as day something went awry and they were forced to pivot. Probably quite abruptly at that.

It really was that press release the day before the album dropped that blatantly tried to spin the lack of videos as some kind strategy that was MOST telling. It just didn't wash. There is nothing inherently groundbreaking nor marketable about withholding videos when so many top tier acts drop material constantly without videos in the streaming era. Drake immediately comes to mind.

On the flip side, I'd MUCH rather she wait to get it right and release something she'd be proud to put her name to late than release anything wack. She's get dragged either way, but one is objectively worse than the other (see: releasing subpar visuals). It's clear she's made a huge undertaking (possibly doing three visual albums), so it's not out of the realm of possibility that she just couldn't deliver on the perfection and timeliness she's renowned for. `

I also don't think it's impossible that she/Parkwood were at the behest of Sony to deliver a project in Q3...visuals or no visuals. No matter how big the acts are, the corporations are bigger and their quarterly and yearly performance targets trump any autonomy people think artists as big as Bey etc actually have. There's an ever and always battle between Sony, Universal, and Warner that essentially controls everything we see and hear in the music biz.

This may or may not affect Bey/Ren, but I implore us to sometimes look at the bigger picture. Can Bey and her team be off the mark sometimes? Hell yes. But I really refute the idea of her being lazy or wilfully inactive. It's clear whatever is coming next is being worked on (probably in overdrive). Like most, though, I agree that it needs to come sooner rather than later.

I was responding to someone literally emphasizing how younger artists will do better on streaming than someone who has been around the 90s. :rip:

Not everything is an attack. Beyoncé’s defender wasps out in full force, not that serious.

She doesn't have to do what she does. But Beyonce isn't the only pop star with kids and a husband. J. Lo, Mariah, Pink. Hell even Britney does more promotion for her music/image.

Beyonce is severely handicapping herself by playing up the mystique image. It's true. OG Hive shouldn't be the ones working harder than Parkwood to archive her video clips that show off her personality or the things she previously spoke on. Let them tell it, Beyonce is the "Uh Oh" lady that got cheated on by Jay Z.

Do not let people run with a narrative and tell your story for you. People under the age of 21 don't even know what Beyoncé sounds like. That's a problem.

I don't care about Beyonce smashing streaming records. That's unrealistic for an artist of her age. But she's not maintaining the relevancy she was on the same streaming platforms and it's been severely impacted after Tidal/Lemonade/EIL. Beyonce was easily top 10 for streaming artists in the early 2010s and was outstreaming girls younger than her with big hits. Cause even though she didn't have radio, she had other avenues to keep her era/image fresh. We cannot ignore the obvious.

Right now I'm worried about longevity. Her catalog is not sticking as well and that's a fact. Her current album is collapsing in streams over the weekend and she has yet to pick another single after almost 3 months of her lead single. None of her predecessors would pull this mess.

bey appeals to “gen z” she’s a timeless legend at this point. all things considered shes doing good y’all are this stressed and bitchy freaking out over the charts. cuz there’s no videos out yet. and at this point i’m scared she just scrapped it or something bc why isn’t it out yet it’s been a month :biblio:

Beyonce been in the game 25 years...her longevity is unquestionable

she doesn't have to care or play the rat race anymore...let Billie, Ariana, Taylor be the top streamers. thats not her fight.

all this hysteria & panic meanwhile "Renaissance" been #1 globally on Apple Music for the last 39 days. so what's really the truth??
