The negativity in here is so wild. I get there is not much to talk about but continuously complaining about the same thing will not make bey or her team move faster…. Y’all are mad everyday about her lack of promo while Beyoncé is  in Croatia chilling on a yacht… Just enjoy the music. Y’all are stanning the wrong woman at this point. If you want commercial success so much there are alot of other pop girlies out their who care enough to capitalize on every moment. Beyoncé is just not one of them and it has been quite apparent for the last 10 years

Jonas Akerlund was confirmed to be a director on this project long ago when a designer got mad at B. Akerlund for asking for clothes for free and blasted it on IG.

 

that was the first solid tidbit we had on the project. so some visuals were shot a while back and others recently (like break my soul in the green outfit)

I think BMS was a very late addition to the album hence why the video was probably the last to be filmed. I remember when the song was released, Big Freedia pretty much found out the same time as us that she was being sampled.

Kendrick just released vinyls and lately there's alot of releases as well. But it's week #5 and we have 0 televised promo for the album  after six years and 7 albums, this is her worst rollout yet.

most samples find out that way I think 

"clearing a sample" requires permission from the song's publishing/copyright owners and the owners of master recordings. a lot of big artists have their own label imprints or publishing companies that make sure they have a say (like Parkwood). but being a songwriter or producer itself doesn't guarantee that, let alone just being the performer on a song (like the "Milkshake" scenario). and it is not industry etiquette to "give a call" like Kelis was asking for lol.

Logged into Twitter on this fine B’Day and once again it’s the bi-annual Adele vs Bey vocal comparison. You’d think Plastic off the Sofa would have ended it. Nigerian Twitter sees a slightly better than average yt singer with a mic stand and it’s groundbreaking.  The amount of times Mariah gets discredited too. I think it’s a cry for help. I’m waiting for Sia vs Bey in a few months.

I've noticed this as well. The disrespect to Whitney, Mariah and Bey in the name of Adele is truly something to behold.
