Honestly unless ACT II has the better music over ACT I it’s not going to fair well on the charts, less than 200k. The point is to keep the momentum going not kill it going into another era. People won’t rush to hear the new music this time because they see Bey doesn’t really do anything about the music. Stans will be the only ones interested.

If the music is good and different than on Act I, then yes she will do well. Of course she would be wise to release the single of Act II with a music video  but we will see. People wont support if the sound is too similar, repetitive and if the music sucks. I dont see that happening.

I understand some are pissed but Bey is not naive about none of this. She is aware that some people are turned off by the way she is doing things right now so if she repeats the exact same things for Act II, then she will expect the results that follow. I doubt she is surprised by the outcome when her choices are not commercial friendly. Like right now the album could be streamed even more if there were videos to support the songs, i'm pretty sure she knows that. Choosing to still NOT release the videos knowing that is clearly a choice.

What if act i turns out to be the best act?

Would that really be a problem? Like, act i is amazing. Anything close to that, even if it doesn’t reach the same level, is more than enough honestly.

act i is just the warmup. i'm expecting acts ii and iii to be even more next level musically

Nah but since its Bey and 3 acts I’m expecting a buildup.

A concept: her team just drops the FYWB visual and market it as the Alien Superstar mv since the space theme is prominent. No one would know the difference since BIK was paid dust:clownny:

Imagine that first gif being the teaser with just the “UNIQUE!” vocal. An absolute COLLAPSE.

I want the entire FYWB video recut and reused asap.

i think act i will the most commercial, however acts ii and ii will make a huge impact bc they will be bey diving headfirst into genres that are not typical for her (guessing country & rock). she will serve her most powerful and emotive vocals ever and go to places people didnt know she could. the level of acclaim will be through the roof

Imagine Bey hopping into her Tina rock n roll bag whew.

yeah my guess is that whatever's next will be more divisive. I know y'all hate it but I would be floored if she explored hyper pop territory she dipped into with "ALL UP IN YOUR MIND." she definitely could be bringing rock or country too. we'll see.

If she does Rock, that's the direction i would love her to go, Tina Turner kind and of course you know Bey is going to do it her own way so she will add on even more flavor.

Country, Folk, and i think some type of R&B could be another act. As usual the theme will have variations, because Renaissance is not just a dance album, Cuff it, VIrgo's groove...She did her thing.

There, I said it.

None of those post IASF stunts would've even half way worked if Matthew hadn't already made sis an unstoppable global force.

Renaissance was actually a good fusion of pop, dance, house, disco, r&b, trap. I love to see her dig into rock more. DHY was such a tease. :deadbanana2:

Ring the Alarm, Back up , and Lost yo Mind say hello. Freakum Dress as well

She should’ve done a rock EP of these songs  instead of a Filler Spanish ep. She has enough to make a full rock album of just old songs re-recorded as hard rock

Ring the alarm still slap!!

Can't wait for act ii, I think that by nature of the "fun" dance act being out the way. Were about to get some heavy thematic story telling and songs more mid tempo. I think this actually has more potential amongst the GP but probably will appeal less to her core base.

Multiple acts albums always decline sales wise, so that should be the expectation. Although might be helped by the fact that it probably isn't more of the same ala Evermore 20/20 part 2.... but instead completes shifts, almost multiple eras in one. My only hope though is that she keeps elements of the electronic shes been exploring in some songs, I just love it on her.

Timing wise, I've gone from expecting November to probably January. I'm in the camp where I don't think everything is meticulously planned, I think they're behind schedule lol.

Remember how EIL came out in the middle of the tour? Remember how ST came at the end of the second leg of Mrs Carter. Essentially don't expect that all 3 acts need to be our by the time the tour starts or even finishes. And that's fine by me. Gives each era some time to flourish (if she actually releases Alien Superstar). And means we'll hear more songs from act 1 and 2 on the tour.

In my head I'm hoping

Act ii: Alternative, country, folk, Pychdelic, Electronica, Pop, Rock

(Imagine "I am", mixed with the creativity and boldness of Lemonade with a sprinkle of Tame Impala)

Act iii: Soul, RnB, Orchestral, Pop

(Kind of what Be Alive Oscars teased in the openning. A spiritual successor to 4 but way more layered and cinematic).

Nnn, stans live in a different world. The GP doesn't get upset about stuff like this. It just limits her exposure to them and limits repeated engagement from more loyal fans. A new act will come with a new marketing push. Ironically starving Renaissance of more marketing, will actually give Act II more room to fly if they want to launch it with a single+ video.

I don't think that's what she should do but I also don't think 2 albums next to each other will do well, they'll cannibalise each other. And Beyoncé dropping albums isn't the event like it was in 2016. She needs to announce the album with a bang which has reach beyond stans. People are still referring to Ren as the "new album". This video is 9 days old and whipped up 130k views. Ren still has plenty of steam left and plenty of months to conjure interest with visuals & single treatments (although I wouldn't get hopes high in the later department)
