Alien Superstar could be such an easy #1. Everything is set up for it. The charts are barely competitive these days, the GP already loves the song and it’s gone viral several times, radio will play the heck out of it. All Bey has to do is give it a lil push. Yeah. They don’t even need to release a video as BMS got the #1 without it (and Nicki has now achieved the same thing). They just need to take the leap and go with Alien Superstar or Cuff It and push it the same way they did BMS. She could bag a second #1 before even releasing the videos if she actually tries.

From the moment she the trailer dropped I knew she wouldn't announce the release date. Watch her drop it on Netflix any day now by surprise.

The documentary is also something I heard about from a friend who's been very reliable in the past. All I know about it is that it was meant to be released about a year ago around her birthday (followed by a singular album later in Sept), and around the end of August, her entire plan for B7 shifted to a multi-album project. So that part of his tea ended up being true. That's why I'm not sure how that documentary has changed since its original version. And even with the original B7 being a singular album plan, she had not filmed visuals for that version of the album. So the plan to lead with the music isn't a last-minute thing. Don't know too much more than this, sadly.

Odd to see how many kinda just passed over this as if it's not the most insider insight we've had in a minute.

 

We all have an appetite for the visuals and for behind the scenes look into her process and now we know she had 7 sound stage set up and was shooting videos simultaneously (which is kind of incredible/insane). Plus the doc + the tea that the album was supposed to drop last year around her birthday (as we all speculated around that time).

 

I totally get the frustration about the hold back, but to still see some going on about no videos and even saying they don't believe there's a doc (just out of frustration) when we have multiple sources to the contrary is so weird to me.

 

I'm hyped for it all: the videos (which are more likely than not dropping imminently), the doc, the other acts, and everything else.

I’m so glad BMS went #1 because if it hadn’t then the lyric “I’m number one” in Alien Superstar would’ve looked real foolish.
