Maybe just to give the fans something to tide us over. I think her team is probably aware that fans are asking constantly about the visuals and they know they’re not ready yet so they said “just splice something together quickly from whatever footage we’ve got and put it out to shut them up until the full thing is ready”.

If the tour is allegedly scheduled for summer next year then it’s safe to assume she’ll be able to perform all 3 acts, It’ll be crazy if she performs only her new songs and not a single old classic 

 

The rollout for this era sucks but to be honest I don’t even know how they could possibly evenly space out 3 albums out without the gp getting overwhelmed. I have so many questions on what the hell they’re planning or even doing, it’s too much to think about lemme just sit back and enjoy this slow ride

They're ready. She's just silly to think that the GP is going to wait on her. They want a hit sis. Almost 3 months since the lead and no video or follow up? I'm embarrassed. The music is good and I'm disappointed she's letting alot of goodwill going to waste. 

Does Energy on Apple Music have the “Kelis” sample?  (Non streaming) but the downloadable album?

Before I say anything regarding the rollout: Im sure Bey is working her butt off for the tour. Theres not question about it.

 

Regarding Renaissance: I'm sorry to say this, but the era is over.

These are the facts:

• BMS came with no cover during release -> Why? Because it wasnt shot until this point.
• BMS still has NO video out despite being the lead single since 10 weeks -> Why? Because the video is not finished.
• The trailer didn't include a set date -> Why? Because there is no set date since they dont know when they are ready. I can hear Beyonce saying "It's ready when it's ready", which means it could come out in a week, a month, in half a year. We don't know and neither do they.
• There's not going to be an official second single. If there will be one, it'll be anounced in October aka way too late
• There will be no interviews or performances, because "busy"
• Act 2 and act 3 are still coming -> they don't want to oversaturate the market -> say goodbye to Rennies potential
• Lastly: We've all seen this before with ST and Lemonade. This time it's even worse when it come to that. Perks of stanning someone who doesnt care about commercial success, maximizing success and giving her fans a true ERA.

We also see the look from the cover in the ITG teaser, meaning the footage is months old at this point. Do you really think it would take Bey 10+ weeks to shoot/edit one video? If she wanted to have visuals out for this project, they would be. It's not that difficult to prepare a video or two.

 

Just admit that Bey's plan was always to release the visuals late, you don't have to like it, but it's clear she wants to save them for later. She literally said it in a press release.

I mean I get the confusion compared to other and past rollouts but we gotta accept the truth we know and everything basically points at what you said. 
 

BMS was never intended to be pushed with a corresponding video. At this point the next breath of life is presumably the visual album that will *eventually* be coming.
 

I guess the only thing that confuses me is the teaser is presented as the ITG teaser yet it’s clear it features teasers from other videos within it, so one could assume that means the title of the teaser was only in place bc they only intended on giving us ITG audio in that teaser clip. It’s true nature is more of a RENAISSANCE ACT 1 teaser. 

I mean I think she just filmed Alien, too, around the same time as BMS

nah, I think that was a last minute decision since they weren’t ready. But I would rather wait than have rushed visuals. 
They can make the wait easier by giving us a release date, even if it’s in like November. It’s the not knowing that makes stans spiral 

I cant imagine Bey and her Parkwood staff sitting in a meeting to plan the album rollout and decide to hold the videos and make fans wait in order to create a “culture shifting moment” (these were their words by the way  ) 

That sounds absolutely insane to me. That’s why I’d rather believe they are just experiencing a delay

I feel left out because I genuinely (and surprisingly) do not care that we don’t have visuals yet. We know the visuals exist. She literally told us she wanted the music to speak for itself this time, and it is. 
 

The public has said since 2013 that she relies on visuals to sell her music, so she in turn decided to sell her music without visuals. I really think it’s that simple.

she probably saw how people like "theallknower" on twitter leak singe/album covers as soon as they're uploaded on streaming platforms & didn't want the cover to go around before the song came out. 

 

the photoshoot BMS cover is from is included in the CD booklet   do y'all think it takes a week to produce & ship hundreds of thousands of CD's?

Caring this much about your single’s artwork leaking is somehow even worse so I doubt it. This reminded me that the BMS artwork ended up being for Church Girl in the booklet. This is yet another sign of them scrambling. 

 

none of this important tho, she just needs to give us the film release date

that's just the same outfit  not even remotely close to what the BMS artwork looks like. she's wearing shades in the BMS artwork and "Church Girl" follows BMS on the tracklist... so connect the dots baby.

Even the one of her body double in front of a bodega was likely for reshoots. Same with the Big Freedia one, likely just adding on to existing footage. 
 

I think the production might be on a TIGHT schedule, but I don’t think the music and videos were planned for release at the same time.

when she sings "taking my own salvation/build my own foundation" with the gospel choir in Break My Soul she takes us to church.

 

then in Church Girl we shake ass on the pew she's sitting on in that booklet photo 

If you look at it in purely marketing terms, it makes complete sense to release visuals separate (especially if it’s a visual album) once the music is out.

 

It really is like dropping two projects with both generating their own news cycles. It’s promotion that promote itself.

 

Watch. Once she drops the visuals, it’ll be like she just dropped the album all over again with all the hype that follows. 

I hear BMS blasting from cars all the time, and again just now. A GP classic, I fear! Poor Albumcut SuperNICHE.

Not too much. I used to be an OASH (Obsessed Alien Superstar Hater), but then I heard that annoying, weird sounding Kate Bush song keep playing on POP radio and I was like fine. 
 

If they can play an 80s alternative pop song on repeat, then surely they can play Alien Superstar.

It’s still very inconsistent. They just picked a random photo, no thought behind it.

 

Im 100% sure everyone knows she will serve excellence (thats why we are here in the first place) but there is always chaos in her process and it’s okay to acknowledge that. Y’all keep thinking that everything she does is perfection and planned for months. That’s rarely the case

Don't buy into the ATRL propaganda. "the public" doesn't think that deeply about pop star music - they never thought she needed visuals to sell music because they don't think like that in the first place.

 

Totally with you on the not caring thing. We know the visual is done or nearly done and we have hints she's releasing act II in the fall. If we were in a situation where we knew nothing I'd be pissed now too (i've never been shy about criticizing her) but we absolutely know it's coming. Wouldn't even be shocked if she revealed the release date of act ii at the end of the Renaissance visual.
