It doesn't make any sense, they think of them as the Disney girls and Hollywood Records, Nickelodeon had  nothing to do with Ariana's music career nor did they invest any money to push her success, it was all her label/team job. They weren't competing for a single spot, Ariana did her own thing WHILE still doing her 9-5 job on Nickelodeon.

Right. It makes no sense when you look at the actual receipts, not the fanfiction written by the chronically online that love to create fake dramatic narratives about real people for entertainment. Ariana's A&R Wendy Goldstein and the CEO of Republic Records Monte Lipman are both on the record stating they found Ariana on Youtube, they had no idea she was on a popular sitcom for teens. Ariana was huge and went viral on both Youtube and Twitter many times in the early 2010s. She had a massive online following. Scooter then signed Ariana to his management after he found her on Youtube covering Die in Your Arms by Justin in 2012. Ariana used Victorious as a launching pad to build a platform, not a vehicle for success. Her career was launched completely independent of Nickelodeon. It's pretty obvious by doing a simple Google search when you notice Ariana's label is under Universal Music Group and Nickelodeon is affiliated with their direct competitor Sony. Case closed. :coffee2:

I couldn't care less about her personal life - just like I didn't care about Dalton at all, however all of this, if true, does feel a bit weird considering the way she's portrayed herself in the past

Ok so the movies apparently are rom-com genre, all three previous one were box office successes keeping in mind their budget, but the third one was really panned :deadbanana:

Lets hope it's more like the first film which has amazing reviews

While much of the plot remains under lock and key, THR can reveal that one point revolves around the son of Stiller and Polo's characters, who gets engaged to a ball-busting woman who seems all wrong for him. Sources say Grande will play the fiancée.

i don't really see ariana as a ball buster? but she is very funny, she can probably make it work

ROBERT DE NIROOO AND BEN STILLER???

Meet the Parents 1 and 2 are so good.

This also probably means that she'll keep working with Universal Studios, she rejected roles from Sony and Warner Bros, and chose this one from Universal

I wouldn't be surprised if she joins another Universal properties, like Jurassic World (Jonathan Bailey is in it), Zoolander or Mamma Mia

I'm slightly disappointed. I wanted more dark role. Let's hope she solidifies herself as a comedy queen though :heart2:

Oh wow!!! :jonny6:

I kept thinking what role and movie Ariana would play in after the Wicked films are done and something comedic like this seems like a really good fit for her.

Those are fake dates but I'm guessing she will officially announce by November-ish. I'm sure her team already booked venues or at least have tentative tour dates set. She teased the Sweetener World Tour on Twitter in May 2018 and officially announced the tour in October 2018.

I'm curious if we are getting AG8 before tour. Touring ES 2+ years later doesn't really make sense and going on a "greatest hits" tour seems premature. I think we are getting a new album next year right after Wicked press/award season. Bieber successfully executing the surprise release leads me to believe her team will use that strategy by releasing AG8 all at once like they should have done for ES lol. She might announce it ahead of time to get pre-orders but no pre-release singles (ex: Billie's HIT ME HARD AND SOFT, Taylor's album releases).

Not sure if I ever posted in here before but, is everytime going viral? It's one of my favorite Ari songs :jonny5:

Yes it's having a mini viral moment on TikTok! everytime also had a brief viral moment in 2023 using the same TikTok sound but this time it seems to be doing even better reaching its biggest streaming peak on Spotify since its release in 2018. :jonny6:

More proof everytime should have been the third single from Sweetener and not breathin'. I love breathin' but pushing a dance-pop song over a trap-pop song during the height of the trap era in 2018 was peak stupid. Even without the viral sound on TikTok everytime outstreams breathin' daily on Spotify.

Ariana's team is very consistent with botching post-album single releases lmao. breathin' over everytime. pov and the boy is mine rollout both were giant missed opportunities to capitalize when both were going viral on TikTok and peaking on streaming. motive not being pushed as a single when it was going viral too. Needs to be studied how often they mess up post-album singles when the GP give them viral moments to work with lmfao. :deadbanana2:

Yaaay, I'm so happy! Hope it keeps getting bigger. :duca:

And about the bolded part, I think it's a pop girl's career thing. The amount of times Gaga and her team killed potential singles since her first era is absurd. :deadbanana4:

Honestly think Dangerous Woman might end up being her biggest album, when all is said done.
