Do you think Rihanna actually took part in writing all of the songs for Anti?
Exposed when. Please point me to receipts of them being "exposed". Just saying anything because Rihanna is being rightfully dragged.

Ariana Grande - 'petal'
Last time I will say this. Hopefully I am not wrong, but I am going off of vibes alone. I think the performance of the album will be similar to something like DW than Sweetener or Positions, just maybe without a STS. That is, as long as she commits to releasing singles.

Did Ariana's petal come and go?
Honestly yes. Love her and love this album, even more so than ES. It helps that this album is still solid and nothing as catastrophically bad as Witness or Bionic, and still produced a hit. Just a lot of factors influencing this, but ultimately it was/is an underperformance. This is like her RO, in terms of commercial performance. ES already showed as she is not over though, so we maybe shouldn't count her out as a commercial juggernaut just yet.

At least the London shows are bringing some positive press. Just saw a TikTok of petal(song) having around 500k likes. And it seems like Nobody, Nowhere is the most viral album track. All these barely translate to streams nowadays, but it will help with the stability for sure. Everyone is panicking now and writing different think pieces but give it a month or some months max, the numbers wouldn't be as bad as we were all thinking. Hopefully the album can clock 2billion by the end of the year.

Right and that is totally fine.

Your takes are so dumb, cause you waited for it to finally drop out of the top 10 in the US for you to spew this nonsense. What are you even doing here, you don't like her or the music. Just here to constantly remind us of her underperformance? Like go troll somewhere else.

Dreamt that Bad thing blew up out of nowhere and became the biggest song of the year.

She does lose a lot of streams on Fridays so while this is bad, it is totally fine for her standards and better than last week's drop. It is very clear though that the non singles are going to take a disgusting amount of time to pass a 100million. The numbers are going to continue to look ugly for a while but will look good when the dust settles. BDA tracks all passed a 100million in a year, even faster than Ordinary Things, though one could argue the tour helped out a bit. Longevity matters more anyways. Not saying the album will magically start increasing in streams. That is never happening, but who knows.

What were they? Below 10 million already?

What happened to YA is quite literally happening to a whole album. Does that mean a potential third single will be bigger than TBIM? Very honestly the album is still top 2 in her discography for me. Have been listening it non stop.

Can't wait for a lot of y'all to switch up when the album starts doing well. We are in dark times my fellow Arianators.

Agree with everything here. This album was heading in that direction with some songs, but it still held back in a sense. I'm also very curious about the next album, if it ever releases, lol I think she is in a better place though compared to when positions released. I doubt she will scrap anything. The underperformance of the album is probably because she isn't in the gps good graces. Like others have said, a lot of people will come around. The numbers will look fine a year from now, I can guarantee that much.

They better release Never get over me and Bunny hop as singles. They have the most potential. Especially bunny hop as it that sound has a wider appeal

The Spotify numbers today are looking very stable. Petal(song) is very stable but I think it needs more momentum, something in the way of a live performance or a TikTok trend to really take off. Comparing the dailies to songs like Tears and Stupid song, I think it is doing quite well especially taking into account its debut numbers. As far as the album tracks flopping, I honestly don't mind that. Will probably keep them fresh whenever she decides to release one of them as the third single. I think those are all the things that probably messed up TBIM's run. It had already trended on socials so when it was finally released as a single the momentum was far gone.

Please don't come for me but I think this album is better than ES. I know ES is universally loved and a great album but I feel it is overrated. Also find the bda tracks better than the standard tracks. Just my opinion.

Could be due to the darker sound. Not trying to invalidate what you are pointing out but I do think the album has a very specific atmosphere that you kinda have to be in the mood for. I personally do not have any problems with it because I enjoy the sound, but I can see how that could make it harder to casually throw the album on compared to say ES.

I still don't get how the lyrics are terrible. Could someone please explain? Like genuinely. Cause I keep on seeing this on socials, and the lyrics are fine to me. Or am I just dumb?
