Ariana Grande - 'petal'
deep breaths honey there's no more running and there's nowhere, nobody else that I'd rather be 'get well soon' your crown as the best album closer is slipping
- Ariana Grande's best/worst album closing track?

Ariana Grande - 'petal'
never said it did, but I was just discussing its potential numbers in the future, there's also talk here about charts, news, streams, acclaim, etc

Ariana Grande - 'petal'
my ranking rn rank song 1 never get over me 2 oh well 3 hate that i made you love me 4 kiss me 5 petal 6 nowhere, nobody 7 bad thing (bunny hop) 8 freak 9 big feelings 10 like i do 11 warning signs (interlude) 12 stay top 3 is excellent and interchangeable, 4-9 are all really good and really close tbh, like I do cute but I can see it aging the worse since it's very TUN-esque, ws is a gag but barely listened to it individually, stay is probably the only song I don't care about (not a skip tho) link if anybody wants to do it: https://jobazzle.tumblr.com/petal

album tracks are collapsing but the two singles seem like doing good, I thought that title track would be doing like 3M by now and it's still at +4M, those two plus 'like I do' will keep the album above 10M daily streams at least for the next month, it's really a positions 2.0

HDD: Ariana #1 292k, Shaboozey #11 32k, Lil Uzi #25 22k, Charli #34 20k
bigger first week sales which is something that teams usually want, also because pure sales give higher revenue and since fans are active they can milk the album rn

Ariana Grande - 'petal'
I'm having a hard time ranking her discography now, swt, pos and es are top 3, but this is way more consistent than swt and pos, my problem is that the highs aren't as high been on repeat tbh

UK Midwk (Wed): Rein Me In #1x20, Dai Dai #2, Ariana #3/11/19; Albums: Ariana #1, 34k
where do you think it will be? #2 after RMI? or top 3 after that and Dai Dai?

Ariana Grande - 'petal'
I know it's def not the time to care about numbers/charts, but this album is now destined to failure tbh, no one wants to talk about the music, it wasn't good received and the era is clearly over there won't be any more content and I wouldn't be surprised if the few stuff they had planned it's cancelled and they plug the songs off of radio

Ariana Grande - 'petal'
this era ending 2 days after the album release…. well it's ok because since 2024 we've gotten 5 music videos, a short film, two albums, a deluxe and a tour so she deserves a break

Ariana to take break from public after tour, drops out of 'Sunday in the Park'
I was so excited for this but her well being comes first always, she's been working nonstop since she got cast in wicked with filming both films, the promo tours, filming FIL and making/promoting 2 albums I just hope she's in a good place right now

UK Midwk (Wed): Rein Me In #1x20, Dai Dai #2, Ariana #3/11/19; Albums: Ariana #1, 34k
I hope that htimylm ends up above stay, it's having such a good chart run for it to get cut so abruptly by an album track I think the 3 tracks per artists rule is good and keeps the chart fresh but they should really expand it to at least 5 tracks

AM is always slower than Spotify, so there the 2nd day is usually stable or some tracks rise a bit, with ES I think WCBF and tbim rose some spots and iwihu, ot and y,a? fell a bit so it's performing normally, third day will be what will show if the tracks will be stable there or not, I remember positions tracks falling hard on the 3rd day there (expect the singles and pov)
-
Ariana Grande - 'petal'
HTIMYLM is like the best song and yet the worst on the album, idk how to explain it it's definitely cause I overplayed it but it sounds kind of out of place, but it was the right choice for the lead
-
Ariana Grande - 'petal'
swt, pos and es remain my top 3, but this is definitely top 4, and tbh this one is way more consistent than those 3, the songs I like the least in petal are stronger than my least faves on those three albums the run from big feelings to nobody, nowhere is immaculate
-
Ariana Grande - 'petal'
the album isn't as well received as ES, it won't have a WCBF hit rising on the following days, and I think it lacks a bye or tbim track that will clearly be stable, the album tracks will be more spread out in streams I think I expect like 46-50M second day
-
Ariana Grande - 'petal'
I think the best option is htimylm, it will have similar streaming numbers to petal (like 2M less probably), but a 30M lead in radio audience
-
Spotify | Ariana Grande - petal | Day 8: 24.3m
Not happening, I don't see title track becoming an actual hit, it will have good streaming numbers first week and negligible radio and sales My prediction is: #1-2: htimylm (depending on CT stability) #4: petal (behind 'hate', CT, and Morgan Wallen) #8-12: kiss me (depending on stability) oh well, freak, stay will be top 20, like I do, bunny hop and ngom will be top 30 and the interlude and n,n will be top 40

Ariana Grande - 'petal'
someone on Twitter said that despite this album has worse reviews than Positions it also doesn't feel as bad and tbh I have to agree I would've loved if this was a +80 on metacritic ofc, but this is being better received by the GP and has a global hit already, and the fan base likes it and it's united so it's not even comparable to positions release anyways I'm so happy for this album, definitely in my top 4 (alongside set, pos, and es), and it may end up higher

Ariana Grande - 'petal'
Max had no involvement in 'oh well', he only worked in htimylm and petal title track
-
Ariana Grande - 'petal'
It just clicked for me too She was deep down in Pink Pantheress nachos
-
Ariana Grande - 'petal'
'oh well' definitely the weakest for me, it needed a bridge or something for like a big change/ending, still far from bad tbh
-
Ariana Grande - 'petal'
'nowhere, nobody' is amazing wtffff, probably her 2nd best closer just right after gws which is kinda impossible to top tbh
-
Ariana Grande — petal review thread | Metacritic: 67 (+1) | AOTY: 64 | Pitchfork 6.5
I don't see much acclaim for this tbh, but I also think it will be divisive, I can see something like Sputnik randomly giving a great review but the RS score indicates that the most mainstream magazines won't like/love it
