Those can't be real... I had no idea they were that frontloaded :deadbanana4:

Are you really shocked? That's how albums drop when the sales come from lots of bundles and mass-buying

Honestly, I think it was really hard to predict fan support for RED.  The original release of Fearless was significantly bigger, but Red really garnered more acclaim and love long after its release.  I am actually really interested in how the other releases go.  I am not sure 1989 will be bigger than Red and Speak Now seems like a complete wildcard to me.

Totally the same - I think 1989 will be a little smaller since, despite the hits, it’s not a huge fan favorite. Speak Now could go any direction but I’m excited to see if it could maybe clear 500k, that would be amazing! The fanbase seems to really love it and Enchanted should help.

With Red potentially holding to triple digits in its third week, though, I kind of see it being the biggest of them all in the long run. All Too Well and its legacy is really going to end up carrying it far - I see it being a slow burner that holds to the top 100 for a pretty long time, even after ATW has stopped being a decent hit on its own.

Quite a shocker, I know, when none of these second weeks fell on Black Friday, and the latter two didn’t have physical copies available at retail at all.

59k SEA and its only 2nd week with a #1 hit for 6 weeks? How does that work? :rip:

Is EOM being carried by radio or what

But also, can someone come and collect all these 30 copies from my job? They’re taking up the section where we usually have K-Pop albums :biblio:

*Looks at current BB200 chart to see all of those albums still charting* :beatfreak:

And whose fault's is that?

Red is exceeding all my expectations in terms of commercial success I'm blown away

Well the reason that Adele has a large physical sales on her 2nd week is because of the Black Friday effect plus she still has significant numbers of CD and vinyls that are stil unsold and shipped but not yet shipped back. So the hold should not be a shocker for everyone :celestial5:

The real shocker is that a re-recording doing 100K on its 3rd week. A 10 min. song did that :clap3:

I was talking about only the second week drop. :rip:

Great to see the hundreds of thousands of previously unsold Adele vinyls and CD's getting in the hands of customers thanks to Black Friday discounts :clap3:

Very interesting indeed that 30's 2nd week is going to have almost the same SEA as Red TV's 3rd week

And very impressive numbers for Red TV :clap3: it's clear they undershipped physicals, but it's better to undership and recoup later than have huge amounts of physicals gathering dust on shelves :clap3:

What????? If she crosses 258k, that means that it will be the biggest 2nd week of sales for a female album ever since 25 :jonny:

Reputation 2nd week - 258k
Lover 2nd week - 178k

Folkore - 130k

Evermore - 169k

Sour - 193k

:bibliahh:And they dare to drag Adele.

Wouldn't the implication be that if an album was being uplifted by only ~bundles and mass-buying~ that it would plummet off the charts :beatfreak:

Red's success is so damn impressive considering it's a rerecorded album whew

Red TV's 3rd week potentially matching evermore's :deadbanana:

great hold for Adele, congrats :clap3:
