The Cure smashing 3 months after its release. What went right?
Olivia's magnum opus and soon to be the most acclaimed song of 2026 on the year-end lists is still smashing 90 days after its release and it's already of her most stable singles ever. How did Olivia manage to make a 5 minutes alt-rock ballad perform this well? Discuss. The Cure - Day 90 Spotify Global: #10 Spotify US: #6 Spotify UK: #4 Spotify Australia: #8 Spotify Philippines: #8 The song is also smashing at Apple Music, currently charting at #7 on Apple Music Global.

not a fraud if it has the most spins and good callouts.

It only needs to hold onto the top spot until Sunday to go #1 on Billboard, right? Seems likely since Dracula is having bigger drops.

Olivia Rodrigo - 'you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love'
Some fun stats but there is this guy on twitter that is doing a one year streaming forecast for the album. He uses a lot of data to build his chart and is totally nailing the predictions for the daily numbers of the album so far (when he's off, he's only been off by like 0.1-0.5%). He has the 13 standard tracks of YSPSFAGSIL accounting over 6.1B streams by the time the album reaches day 365. But it's a conservative estimative because he says that he isn't taking into consideration the full effect of the tour on his numbers so lowkey something like +6.3-6.5B by its first year seems doable. That's huge, the only female albums that have done those kind of numbers by its first year anniversary are: SOUR, Midnights, SOS, TTPD, HMHAS and Short N' Sweet.

Olivia's "you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love" did 19.16M streams today. Only other 3 female albums have done more numbers at the same point of their trajectory (Day 61). Surprised? SOUR: 24.31M Short N' Sweet: 24.15M HMHAS: 22.45M TTPD: 20.16M YSPSFAGSIL: 19.16M TLOAS: 18.21M Midnights: 17.72M
- yspsfagsil already outstreaming TLOAS on a daily to daily comparison. Why?

Hopefully it's the next single and the rumours about the MV she filmed with Sadie Sink are legit!
