With Taylor's recent deluxe album release tonight, I can't help but wonder…

Are the millennial pop girls truly over?

Ariana's album was depressing and poorly mixed. Miley's album was simply forgettable (and poorly mixed). She couldn't even muster up more than 9 tracks for the album. Now, the 'most famous pop star' of them all, Taylor Swift, just put out 4 new songs produced by pop music royalty Max Martin & Shellback and well….. they sound like deep cut B-Sides that were reworked. her songwriting has also become so uninspired and predictable. What's going on?

With Katy chronically flopping, Rihanna being retired, and Adele hibernating until '40', I feel like all we have left is Gaga as a reliable millennial pop star. It really is the Gen-Z girls like Sabrina, Tate, and Addison that are carrying the pop star baton I fear

She said she wrote them after TLOAS came out last year when she went to Sweden to celebrate the album with Max.

Carly Rae Jepsen has been consistent I'd say.

They'll always be more famous than nobodies like Tate McRae, Adela or Slayyyter who I guarantee you no one will remember in 2030

I love Billie and Olivia who are the biggest Gen Z pop stars, but they will never touch anything from the previous generation

kinda… i grew up with the millennial pop girls, but I find that i mostly just enjoy their older work now, while the newer music i enjoy tends to come from the new mpgs

Billie has already surpassed them with her awards including two Oscars etc. She has already out streamed most of them
