  1. Sure it might have been very generic and of its time, but the album is full of bops Something all these new girl groups forget, before the visuals the music has to be GOOD fun and catchy
  2. But they called me crazy when I said she would BOMB, maybe in 2033
  3. As we know Madonna is the queen of reinventions, from her aesthetics, looks and sonic landscapes each era. Sometimes she would even go abruptly from an image to another one (Bedtime Stories -> Ray of Light, American Life -> Confessions I), but somehow the GP stay tuned and praised her versatility Rihanna or Gaga are similar examples Why weren't Xtina or Miley able to replicate these reinventions when they're just as talented, if not more?
  4. Miley has nothing to prove, but we all wish commercial successful for ha Unfortunately, I don't see this doing going anywhere. The sound is so dated, kinda like a Gaga parody and she might get overshadowed by better releases such as Adela If Something Beautiful which was more accessible flopped to oblivion, I think this will perform similarly
  5. I ignore these people, the problem is they're taking the spotlight from more talented people that don't event get a chance because of plants like them
  6. Nepo babies have always existed but at least before we would see stories of upcoming artists with a working class background. But these past years the amount of nepobabies is just ridiculous, most of which are untalented and actively being pushed down our throats Sombr Stella Lefty Sienna Spiro Eli Malcolm Todd Audrey Hobert Clairo To name a few, did I miss someone?
  7. well as a political statement it is very lukewarm and kinda says nothing, so I guess it bombed at that too
  8. Olivia is supposed to be the biggest female artist from the year. However, her latest song Serena Joy is not predicted to chart on the Hot 100 (her first actually) and is already out of Global Spotify. All of this after having massive exposure in a whole festival of hers, decent playlisting and referencing a popular show. Should the u + Me = <3 songstress worry?
  9. cute song but thé mixing is horrible
  10. well she probably used it in her last one
  11. Are you Ariana Grande?
  12. Everydat, we see how artists increasingly use AI in their creative process, which has caused huge backlash, to say the least But do you think AI could have a valid role in let's say refining some lyrics or vocals? Is it so different from hiring a brunch if ghostwriters or buying passed around demos? Or is it a complete NO for you. I would like to hear where do you personally draw the line
  13. Both girls from the Midwest who take a lot of inspiration from queer aesthetics, who tried for many years before having a summer breakthrough It feels like Slayyyter is taking over ha spot, and well, she's more likeable tbh, has very nice vocals, she's creative and outspoken as well
  14. For someone who is constantly praised for having such a strong "aesthetic," Olivia's videography is surprisingly… uneventful? Like outside of maybe G4U, what are the actual moments? Her songs are great but the visuals are not memorable at all. Maybe Petra Collins is the problem because even Audrey Hobert's videos are better with way less budget.
  15. Why does Ariana receive hate for having understated vocals in her studio versions, when we all know she can elevate any song live. Like she has nothing to prove anymore Meanwhile, some artists sound like dying chickens outside of the studio and they get a pass
  16. The way y'all keep setting up this Ariana Copycat. Thank god this fad was left in 2024 and is already declining
  17. I really don't get it, his music is mediocre and with 0 evolution, he's ugly af and obviously his despicable personality and abuse history Maybe it's because i'm not from the US but his music is not even that well known And yet he has such a grip on the GP especially women (including sadly most of the R&B girls and kpop industry)
  18. Victoria's latest songs are trash so I'm inclined to say NO
  19. I fear after Wicked she got even more famous globally The discourse around her body has been inescapable this past week, even people irl were asking me about it I've never seen Billie, Olivia, Sabrina or the newer girls have this much scrutiny around them (and maybe it's for the best considering the toll it takes on someone) When you think about it, only the older MPGs are getting this much vitriol from the GP (Bey, Taylor)
  20. I feel like that sound suits her so much, she might not have the best voice but she can be sultry and sexy when she wants It has been her biggest song since 2019 for a Reason
  21. Abracadabra was easily one of the best and biggest female songs last year. It started out with a huge debut and had quite good promotion for her standards, that it even became one of her staple hits So why it's still stuck at 800 M streams, I really don't get
  22. I know it's probably not happening, but had she outstreamed TUN (but not Olivia's album) should Spotify have reported it?
  23. Both having 12 tracks, do you prefer the maximalist Life of a Showgirl or the minimalist Petal
  24. Coming back to end all of the OAHs, I know they'll be gagged too
