I get what you mean, but we have to remember they're self-released now with no support from a label whatsoever. These things are hard, especially if they wanted to secure a physical release. I'm glad we're finally getting something after all.

Real question but do you see chartsucces as a metric to deem a legacy act a 'flop'? They have pretty much building an international touring audience across Europe and got some brand deals/sponsorships along the way. I think for a self-funded group, who probably invests most of what they earn back into recording, they do pretty well.

Why is it so far away Realistically, anyone who's going to pre-order the album will do it in the next couple of weeks, I can't see the benefit of waiting months on end, especially since the singles all came out last year.

Ordered the test pressing vinyl.

Sugababes have announced a new self-titled record coming next February.  

Featuring 12 brand-new hits, this is the first album from original members Keisha Buchanan, Mutya Buena and Siobhán Donaghy since their debut One Touch in 2000. 

Alongside this, the group celebrated the news by unveiling the project's first single Ghost, which centres around themes of relationships and feeling unable to escape.  

In an Instagram post today, the band said: "We knew from the beginning that we didn't want to rush this record. We've poured so much into the songs, the sound and every detail around it, and the more it came together, the clearer it became that there was only one thing we could call it: Sugababes. It feels unmistakably us. We've loved writing and recording this record, and we're so excited that it's finally time for people to hear it." 

Interestingly, the album's cover was shot by Liz Collins, who also shot the cover for One Touch. A real full circle moment for the group!
