Taylor and Beyonce both have the core dedicated fanbases to do it and I think Adele is just always going to attract the attention from everyone to do it. To do this you've either got to have a large and loyal core fandom or you've got to be able to pull focus, and those three have proven over and over that they can claim one or both of those.

Tony Bennett already did it in his 80s, with an album that has 2M units WW. And yes, he's an MPG.

#1s only depend on the competition the week they're releasing, it doesn't mean much.

Selling 100k+ could be done by many: Madonna, Britney, Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Adele, Ariana Grande…

Taylor, Gaga and Bey all could definitely. Madonna has lost and gained casual fans over the years but has a strong core base and I believe those 3 will be in the same boat. Especially if they come back with something strong then.

I'm an OTH but I wouldn't be surprised if she could debut with 1m+ in her 60s

I mean Beyoncé and Taylor if we assume the music industry still works the way it does in like 30 to 40 years.

But that will be the biggest if, because we have no idea how music will be consumed at that point in time.

I'll give Beyonce the benefit of doubt, but Taylor? What kind of music do you expect from her in 15 more albums / 30 years if she's already giving slop by her 12th (I'm not counting TVs as original albums) Plus, she's already showing plenty of signs of questionable behavior which doesn't a sustainable fanbase of 5 decades make.

i don't think there will even be a United States of America in 30 years, let alone music charts to worry about.
