This underperforming puts her in a very complicated situation. She has been riding the pure reggeaton wave for too long and now that she tries to break out of it, the GP won't support it. This means she is pretty much stuck with latin music, which is a huge disadvantage when trying to gain longevity. Tbh, I never could really see what people saw in her. She isn't especially talented, nor a great dancer, vocalist or songwriter. From that perspective only it was obvious she wouldn't be able to match the longevity e.g. Shakira has. She still might be able to bounce back, but it will only be a matter of time until the Latin GP will also get tired of her repeating the same formula all over. She is kind of in a Katy Perry situation here. The GP wouldn't let her break out of the super poppy genre, but at the same time also got tired of her repeating it.
