Shakira & Burna Boy - "Dai Dai" (2026 FIFA World Cup)
How can such a blatant fraud not be filtered out for the charts?

Do artists need to go back to the ancient (2008โ2011) texts?
Yeah, it'll inevitably happen, but I see the 2000s nostalgia completely taking over before that.

Ariana Grande - "petal"
This isn't about claims, it is worse than ever. She needs any wake up call she can get. And her fans should try to help her wake up, not act as if any of this was healthy. I really hope she will get the help she needs.

Ariana Grande - 'petal'
Only listened to the first 4 tracks so far... until now, as expected, not my cup of tea. I do like HTIMYLM, but I kind of thought having this kind of sound at full album length might bore me and so far these expectations have been fulfilled. I think the art of make a sophomore album lies in making a cohesive art of work where all tracks still feel like individual arts of work. I fear this one might be the type of album where all songs almost blend into another because they are all too similar. Let's see how the rest of the album is.

Is "Hung Up" when Madonna became a music legend?
It was with Ray Of Light. Not earlier, her career wasn't in the best shape throughout most of the 90s.

Why are US radios racist towards a poc woman like Shakira?
As a European I gotta say the American definitions of race are weird to say the least. The other day the Tyla thread, now Shakira being considered a POC She is clearly from European descent + has libanese roots. No one, really no one ever in Europe would call her POC and they would think you must be joking if you did.

How did Shakira manage to make a bigger World Cup song than Waka Waka
FIFA became greedy and started giving the world cup to countries with very serious human right issues (Russia 2018 & Qatar 2022), which damaged the reputation of the tournament, raised many national debates about boycotting etc. Giving the 2022 World cup to Qatar was a big scandal as well, because it was obvious to everyone it was bought, playing in winter instead of summer didn't help either. That's also why for example neither 2018 or 2022 produced any successful world cup songs. Both tournaments felt very shallow and flat for football fans because of everything surrounding it. It was a very clear shift from the previous all feel-good atmosphere the tournament always had. So yeah, maybe by numbers it might be bigger now, but hardly any football fan would say it is in a good shape right now. And 2034 in Saudi-Arabia will raise the very same discussions again and overshadow the tournament.

Tyla says she is black
But... if that is literally the official name of her ethnicity in South Africa, why is there even a debate? We're literally talking about her own identity, of course she won't define it based on American terminology. Why should she? It's not her problem the term is used differently in the States, when she very clearly and obviously is not using it as slur. She's from South Africa, of course she will use her own accent, her terminology etc.

We shouldn't underestimate Gen Alpha, they might consider Dai Dai their Waka Waka for years to come.

Shakira 7 1's in Italy, Gaga/Beyonce only 1, similar in European countries, shocked?
I mean, Shakiras sales haven't been updated in over a decade + her strongest sales markets in LATAM didn't really report sales in the 90s and 00s + pirated music was commonly used. Not really the fairest metric in that case.

Tyla says she is black
Could anyone explain to me on what basis she wouldn't be considered black? Genuine question.

Shakira 7 1's in Italy, Gaga/Beyonce only 1, similar in European countries, shocked?
I mean, she literally has only released 2 albums in the last 12 years, so...
- Which pop girl will still be relevant in their 60's?
