I think the reason why some people don't like this is because they were expecting a power ballad similar to Vanpire or an Uptempo similar to Good 4 U. This song is mid tempo, similar in style to a Gracie Abrams, Taylor Swift or a Chappell Roan song.

Had to listen twice but I like it. Definitely not as impactful as her previous leads but it's for sure a good song

It's pleasant enough but probably not something I'm going to be returning to anytime soon. Still excited for the album tho.

I really don't understand the Taylor Swift comparisons with this one? I definitely hear the Chappell vibes. Love it on first listen!

Also since it's currently the topic of discussion, I'm personally hearing Wolf Alice inspiration more than anything else mentioned here.

The Taylor comparisons aren't that far off but she doesn't own this sound, it sounds more like Chappell if anything.

Not the style I was expecting from her but I like it.

It's alright, I guess. And this is one of the first main singles of her that has a weak bridge. Overall it sounds like an album track, like a number 7 song heading to the end of the album.

This is another confessional, diaristic smash for her. It's definitely not revolutionary lyrically but i think the whole point of the song is to express infatuation and how all encompassing (and lowkey embarrassing) it can be

Having said that im not sure if this song is going to have much longevity like vampire and her previous singles did…

i like it and i usually can't stand her voice or her corny disney channel productions

lowkey wishing they would make the chorus more explosive but i guess it's for the throwback dreamy alt pop/rock texture like the chorus - bridge - chorus run is pure EUPHORIC

Love this. Still has her rock-ish flair but she switched it up a little, sounds very cinematic it could be the soundtrack of a smash romcom. Olivia can't do wrong!

The intro reminds me sooo much of Gatlin's Talking to Myself.

I really like this song. The album cover matches the vibes of the song. If the goal of this lead single was to introduce the sound of the new album then I guess it's done its job. But if the goal was to ignite the hype, I don't think this will.
