I get that the Smith feature is what prompted them to submit to rock but this is Robert Smith, he's a beloved and acclaimed figure across multiple genres and very much so in pop, it would have been an easy nod in Pop Duo and a rock-ier song could have been submitted in rock

the cure in SOTY and ROTY is obviously correct but why wouldn't they submit it in Alternative Music Performance when it would have been easily accepted and nominated, meanwhile stupid song (or even drop dead) could have been submitted for Pop Solo instead, she would 100% get nominated with any song and she's losing the award with any song anyway... what's wrong with me would have easily been nominated in Pop Duo where it belongs since the song has very little to do with rock and some album track could have been pushed for rock instead... or the cure could have been submitted for rock and another album track for alternative music
