  1. The fact that one of her first songs was used in a major franchise like Scream makes it clear that her father's got connections everywhere. A regular person trying to pursue a career in music doesn't land a spot like that so easily.
  2. According to Wikipedia he's worth around $6 billion. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eric_Lefkofsky
  3. Payola. You don't get to be a billionaire without having connections in basically every industry, and the ones you don't have are easy to buy. The press, playlisting, radio push, and probably a chunk of her actual sales were paid for by her father.
  4. Why is Swiftologist on a plane to California for the Daisy Chain Festival if he doesn't even have tickets?
  5. I saw Yoko Ono is one of the artists whose sculptures they're using and she's also following the festival page on IG. Do y'all think that means she's going to show up?

Dolly openly hated Trump, supported BLM and the LGBTQ, was pro-vaccines, and promoted education. MAGAts can't cancel entertainers based on politics because most artists lean progressive/liberal so all they'd have left is Veggie Tales and Kid Rock.
  7. I stopped supporting Nicki when she posted a bowling pic on Instagram with her pedo brother Jelani while he was in the midst of his case for repeatedly raping his 11-year-old stepdaughter. Mind you she had posted a 100K bail to get him out of jail a few weeks earlier, but there wasn't any concrete proof that she was the one who'd paid it (even though it's pretty obvious) so I was giving her the benefit of the doubt. But that post was a clear message that she was standing by him so I stopped supporting that exact moment. She only got worse after that! When did you unstan a fave?
  8. The only way she'll do it is if she posts it on SoundCloud or sells it through PayPal or some other bootleg platform so that she can claim it's not about the charts or the money.
  9. There's no way she's ever releasing music again. Even with all the drugs she knows that's a big part of her fanbase, and she's terrified to flop because she's obsessed with numbers.
  10. She was just talking a few days ago about how there were still a lot of things she had planned.
  11. You have to hand it to her team, they're geniuses for engraining overconsumption as a core trait of what a loyal Swiftie is supposed to take part in. The way they boosted 1989 sales by turning it into their own version of collecting Pokémon trading cards with those Polaroid sets was amazing. With every release it's only gotten more egregious. That's why it's funny when they say "other artists do the same thing, there's just no demand." If you're an artist who's only just started playing these kinds of games, you're not going to have the same result as someone who's been training her fans to indulge in this nonsense for over a decade. K-pop fandoms are the same. Overconsumption is a core part of what it means to be a true supporter.
  12. I don't know about how their actual numbers compare but Miley was a much bigger celebrity at her peak, just because of how much controversy surrounded it. Hannah Montana was a massive deal, and I think it's still considered the Disney Channel's most successful franchise ever. For her to go from Disney's most famous star to being as provocative as she could possibly be was a huge moment.
  13. She was universally loved, but especially by country lovers who are mostly his followers, despite her having progressive politics. Even he's not dumb enough to think a disrespectful statement would go down well with his cult.
  14. 9 to 5 will forever be one of the most relatable songs to exist.
  15. There's Something About Miriam and The Swan were more insane.
