Yup, which is why ive stayed far away from anything that has to do with them except for seeing what they have released. I do think there is talent and stage presence with this group, also, as much as people hate to admit it, this group's visuals is phenomenal, super models as a group. But so much of their branding is very forced. Going the messy unkept route visually as well as making their songs as vocally incompetent as possible is just not postioning them for longevity, its so trendy and fast fashion esque.

I'm also confused as to why they give daniella so much focus?? She is the center, gets several dance breaks and has a whole song themed around her. I wonder if they will ever do an indian, korean or filipino inspired songs as a concept? Sophia to me seems to have basically been hidden by the management for some reason, so little focus on her even tho she is a great vocalist. Wishing the best for the girls as a whole, they have been the targets of some of the nastiest stan hate mobs i have yet seen.

Crazy how they went from being on the cusp of being the next musical phenom to crashing and burning.

From a business standpoint their management is absolutely terrible. Like yall are already milking these girls for every penny like why not do it in peace.

I don't think they'll survive as a group much longer. Too many dark sided things happening internally and externally

It seems to me that even before the hiatus, they were never going to push Manon or Lara to the centre because they naturally pull focus. Pushing either of them may create too much imbalance within the group, and they're trying to avoid having anyone be bigger than the program.

My read on the situation is that after Daniella and Megan were both invisible in the SIS era, there was a deliberate attempt to create more visibility for them with Gnarly/Beautiful Chaos since both were well liked/top performing trainees. Daniella organically gained attention after the initial Gnarly performances and then their team honed in on that and began to aggressively push her more as the visual centre in place of Manon. Since she's already the dance lead, she now gets significantly more screentime than the rest. Gabriella was practically a showcase for her. Megan's initial push didn't click quite like Daniella's did, so she's not a main focus anymore. Meanwhile, there doesn't seem to be any plans for poor Yoonchae, and they seem content to let Sophia lead from the background. It's all very strange.

They seem to have generated a very young, insane, parasocial, toxic fanbase. That's what happens when you launch a new act with a drama-filled documentary on Netflix. It gave them amazing visibility, but they were built on chaos, drama, and toxicity so it's not surprising that their fanbase who seem to be mostly children thrives on it. I see some unhinged mega viral tiktoks hating on different members on my fyp and it's quite bizarre. I've never seen anything like this.

I just watched the video on YouTube, something about it seems off. Like they've lost their charm, and it has very little to do with Manon not being there. I'm typically mesmerized by each girl, rewatch the content to examine each girl as they serve…but they seem so tired? The 5 served in the Gabriella solo video. Yoonchae shines with her charm, I think the blond was a mistake. They're trying to pivot way too fast.

Love the song and video They're not even 2 years old, they're still figuring it out! Excited for the live performances, I predict a lot of people r gonna switch on this eventually. The Yoonchae Socrates lyric is so random lmaoooo

The song is a moderate bop, but as always way too short, that outro needed at least 20 more seconds.

The whole mood around KATSEYE has changed so much in the past like 3 weeks. As someone who has been stanning since the Dream Acadaemy days and ahs bought every piece of physical media these girls have released.... i am kinda falling out of stanning. Its so hard with how crazy the fanbase is and how darksided it feels rn.

I like Manon and think she has a place in the group, but whatever is happening needs to be sorted out ASAP and we need some explainations from HYBExGeffen desperately. Come back to the group and move on, or let her go and move on.
