Same problem I had with Internet Girl I'm having with this song. The production goes so far and the vocal performances feel so plain and relaxed. I think the juxtaposition on both are intentional it just doesn't vibe with me. Overall I like the song and direction theyre going in.

Pinky Up is beyond catchy, is dance-able has personality and a also proper vision behind.

As for their big "hits", it would be Touch > Pinky Up > Gnarly > Gabriela imo.

Gabriela is fun, but a bit generic. Gnarly and Pinky Up at least bring something different from them to make it stand out.

I liked the song, my only criticism is the desperation to make music just to be a hit on TikTok. If they removed the awful "pinky up" from the chorus, I'm sure the song would be a 10/10.

I hope it grows on me with repeated listens.

PS: Manon's departure is so tiresome; she contributed absolutely nothing to the group, and her absence isn't even felt.

Pinky Up, unlike the majority of the tracks made after Dream Academy, does have a proper direction and delivers the edgier sound they had with Gnarly and Internet Girl in a more pop way via Eurodance.

Eurodance as a genre is -finally- being revived by the indie scene in Europe, with some hints from local mainstream acts too. A global mainstream act putting its hands on it would make sense to find an identity to follow for a while.

Both Gabriela and the track you posted are not bad, but they feel interchangeable and quite beige compared to the Pinky Up / Gnarly / Internet Girl trio.

I'm not even the biggest fan of the group, but this track is genuinely amazing to me.
