Yeah, but people commenting on their relationships and what's going behind the scenes, is giving parasocial I get think-pieces about the music quality and expectations for future releases.

Yall are banking too much on Manon's power when the group is so much bigger than each individual. Yes Manon initially balanced Lara's way too powerful charisma and star power but now were seeing Daniela being positioned in a similar fashion and is actually working with the position shes being given.

The reality is that yes Manon leaving would leave a MASSIVE dent that will forever follow KATSEYE but theyre bigger as a brand than any single center. This is not a Suzy and friends situation. This is closer to someone like Jessica leaving SNSD. Sure she was massive and by far 1/2 of the biggest stan attractors of the group (the other being Taeyeon) but the group will learn to survive without her.

The racism discourse and mistreatment of black girls in pop will just be another media cycle that feeds clicks and only benefits TMZ and the like. HYBEs core audience for KATSEYE is not the black community primarily but tweens. Who cares about racial politics so long as Geffen feeds into the parasocial nature of K-pop? The people who actually care about Manon's alleged mistreatment under HYBE are not the same people who will rally to stream and see them in concerts, sad but thats the truth.

I just hope that whatever the reason for her forced hiatus is is that its actually just terrible corporate practices and not her being actually delinquent on her duties as a member of the group because that just makes the case for her being 'lazy' so much stronger.

Edit: theyre underutilizing Sophia so much. She deserves way more center time and if anything deserves to share thst spotlight more given shes just as strong of an all rounder as Lara.
