I pressed play on Gaga's grammy performance with an open mind. Ready to be slayed by vocals, choreo, performance. What unfolded in front of my eyes was amazing. Gaga looking cray cray in a cage in a weird costume singing off key, screaming, and pretending to play keyboards at some points while moving around controls. The two keyboards being set up was a kiii to be honest. But all in all, I was very pleased. In fact, I think this continues a trend in her delivering great awards show performances.

Yes, but the tour/Copacabana are better indicators than this.

She doesn't have the same like hunger her old performances have, but she's obviously still great. I think that's mostly because she's happy with how her career has gone thus far and doesn't feel like she needs to prove herself any more.

The Grammys executives did explain it. They said she did not havr enough time due to her flying to Japan for the tour so they decided to go to a more minimalistic but still special route for the performance with no dancers, just her and the instrumental guys. I think it turned out amazing tbh, the performance looks special and unique.

Of course. She's only gotten better with time. She's very disciplined about her craft. She highlighted those things in her speech yesterday too. It's extremely difficult to churn out career best performances when you've already been doing this for almost two decades.

I just love the fact that she's always unpredictable af. You can never guess what she's going to do or where she's going to go next and that's what makes stanning her so thrilling. I would have never in a million years guessed she would perform Abracadabra like this but I'm so glad she did. This was insane and awesome.

Honestly, it kind of gave her OG performances where it was her and a keyboard. She didn't have enough time to rehearse with the backup dancers so she put something together and solo'd it - like a legend does.

It was less cringe than the one where she was carried in an egg or jumped in a chimney, or whatever that was.

Her awards performances don't always show how good she is vocally. I forgot how strong her voice is check out this one in Tokyo recently
