While I didn't rate much of her output post Slide Away, this was surprisingly pretty good on first listen. The video helped ofc, but the prechorus was instantly catchy so the song does have smth going for it on its own. Also, this direction is rather difficult to execute, no? She could have easily slipped into dated and derivative territory, but she pulled through and delivered a worthy homage.

We Are The People clears. It invokes such a nostalgic/sad feeling that not many songs from that period do tbh.

Because people on twitter generally look like they could need help, incuding the atrl ones who have it, and that is a huge percentage of mentally unwell people.
