The way she nods and then proceeds to walk away laughing internally only to return one last glance to the public… ijbol

I still think these types of fans who would go to her concert to troll her and get her attention were super annoying, entitled, and rude.

She gave them the perfect response.

She so succinctly summed it up, and it's something she had already alluded to via the RENAISSANCE press release, that we were meant to experience the album as MUSIC, to come up with our own associations not be led to what it all means by her visuals. And after 3 visual albums, I think this is a bold and interesting move, and am thankful for it.

Back in 2013 she told us she made a visual album because she sees music. Now she want us to focus on the voice?

Now hive can act like not releasing visuals was some revolutionary ground breaking move.

Love that for them.

Yes. She wanted us to see it for ourselves, our way, too.

Well name another top-tier popstar who has not released any visuals for not one but two album cycles in a row. Whether it is revolutionary or ground breaking or not... it's closer to that than "status quo."

The way you can tell it kinda hurt her feelings

This is what I didn't like about all these stupid signs. She's there to do her job for YOU and you wanna take her out of it and bring your complaints to her? It's very weird to me.

She was kinda unserious for this rip

On a serious note - can anyone from the Hive give me any insight into what happened with the videos? We obviously know she's filmed content because why on earth would she tease all those looks with the I'm That Girl visual?

It's gotta be infuriating knowing all that content was filmed only for it to not be released.

Sure but we know she and a big team actually made them?

Well there are several theories floating around, none are confirmed. They range from:

  • She had to get knee surgery, so was not able to complete them

  • She did not like the way she looked in them

  • She did not like the way they turned out

  • She had a change of mind

What we do know however, is that since before the album was even out, her press release stated:

The originator of the visual album format, and the preeminent visual artist, decided to lead without visuals giving fans the opportunity to be limitless in their expansive listening journey.   It is a chance again to be listeners and not viewers, while taking in every gem of the pristine production. ... the visuals are scheduled for a later date.

In 2026 I want less of "you are the visual baby" and more of "the beyhive is buzzing", she better watch her attitude. ducky

If she doesnt release the video for energy in the next 48hrs I will blackmail her.

MY personal theory? I think the knee surgery is the most likely reason for a delay, though there were rumours of reshoots likely to happen (and that could be because she had to pause and get knee surgery). I think at some point she released she didn't need visuals and that in fact, no visuals is a statement of its own.

Given that although Black is King sent The Gift back to the Top Ten of the Billboard 200, it didn't exactly change its course, it's possible she realized releasing visuals at a later date may not give it the effect she desired, and so PERHAPS we will get one mega visual album connecting all three acts as a final moment that cements the era as a whole rather than promote the songs themselves, OR she could just be saving it for years down the road. I've always secretly suspected that she's building a vault of content that she can release in retirement such as The Formation World Tour that would have the effect of discovering "lost media" for fans. Who knows though!

She's right. Every time I look in the mirror, I see Break My Soul music video.

the two biggest theories are: (1) she didn't like the way they turned out and (2) she didn't receive the offers from streaming services that she'd hoped to get

the way this is literally lost media along with the Renaissance Film
