Call For Me is pretty good, other than that this is just decent enough alt-pop. Nothing wrong with that, but I expected more after so many people hyped her up

This is a cute debut with very good moments but some of it feels overedited and the production doesn't always quite land. Maybe a bit more or less time with it would've resulted in a less constricted feeling.

But overall, most of the tracks stand good on their own. Best Kind is such a good 90s type ballad. Reminded me of Fabiana Palladino (whole album does a bit actually.)

the songs don't feel like they're "properly" done. i don't like the structures she came up with. the album mostly feels underdeveloped.

only enjoyed Hellbent, Sweet Nausea & Bound

I listened to Cherry a while back and I loved it, and found her album on my suggested music, and I ADORE IT. She is a great vocalist and an amazing songwriter.

i love some moments, example bliss and cherry, but album as a whole is kind of... disappointment. cut me loose really hyped me up thinking its going to be the most iconic debut of all time, but its just ok.

I'm sooooo obsessed with this album, she ateeeee this one. Cherry is THAT song and the last 4 songs are kinda a generational track run.

Yeah don't get me wrong some of this sounds like unfinished ideas/first drafts but at the same time it's genuinely got a LOT of potential I'm sort of shocked

Like first listen and something has caught my attention on every track (whether it's production, melody lines, lyrics etc) so there is definitely something here!

Also Rhythm is gorgeous and on repeat

There's a bit of Janet to this that I'm loving. She steers away from any obvious grooves and really only goes for a big chorus in Call For Me. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Cherry is amazing though and Hellbent was my personal favorite.

I hope we get a deluxe edition later this year, considering she's opening for Jessie Ware, it'd be a nice way to keep the era alive.

And hopefully it includes "I Saw Red".
