Mayhem is better than BB's album, but GF categories are usually popularity contests aside from a few weird moments (like Beck winning over Bey).

Anyway, this album has 4 awards attributed to it (DWAS, Abra x2, Pop Vocal). That is amazing, no? Have any of her albums earned that many before?

it seems like the composition of the voting block is adversed to voting for her for main categories both pre and post the expanded voter base. The grammys are fine to award her smaller categories and to put her on stage and use her for promo but when it comes to giving her her flowers this voting base and the previous one isn't willing to go that far. I'm afriad she wont be winning a main category anytime soon. She needs a super strong snubbed narrative and that prob wont happen for her until another 5 years or something and if she serves another hit era too. so frustrating

Can I be honest? This did not make me gag. It was simply not the tea. One of her worst performances of the era actually.

I saw the vision she was going for, but it was extremely lacklustre to me.

SOTY/ROTY/AOTY are always going to be super elusive. Kendrick is at the top of the rap game for multiple album cycles and is 0/5 in AOTY.

It's impressive that she's still getting 7 noms in a year this far into her career when pop is the least forgiving to awarding longevity over all other genres.

This is absolutely true though. I thought Abracadabra deserved ROTY/SOTY but AOTY was pretty far-fetched because it was too safe for her. But even then, it does feel like Gaga is always supposed push and push and push her limits in terms of artistry and when she does, she gets snubbed, and when she plays it safe, she also gets snubbed. When is it enough LMAO, what do people need from her!?

But for sure the "overdue" narrative is 100% locked down for her from here on out, whether it's SOTY, ROTY or AOTY. Though honestly I kind of wish she'd snub Grammies from here on out.

I didn't expect a GF wins based on predictions so 2 awards for Abra and Mayhem is next best thing. I don't think she cares about winning AOTY. As long as she's happy making music that's all that matters.
