I feel MAYHEM is the perfect album to win AOTY. It's not polarizing, it's safe, well-produced, and she gave us and the world a proper pop era like no one else has in the last decade, especially for an artist of her caliber. It really would feel like an award for her entire career, but I also understand Bad Bunny's narrative (and he has a great album).

I hope she manages to win in the end. Realistically, coming this close to being the winner isn't easy, and if she waits years for LG8, it would probably get harder, not easier, to win a GF. (Bey won AOTY at 43, but we have to go back to Beck in 2015 to have an older winner (44), otherwise they are always younger).

but honestly, it would be in bad taste to pinpoint that as the sole reason for a hypothetical win for him, because he's extremely talented and has made a great record. They are both great records, but Bad Bunny is clearly her main competition in AOTY. Kendrick has lost all traction imo, a few months ago he seemed to be the one to beat, but it doesn't feel like that anymore.

Bad Bunny has the most acclaimed and best selling album of the year and the political narrative of being the first latin album to win, in a year where latin immigrants are being persecuted in the USA. This makes him the likeliest winner.

Gaga's album is also very acclaimed and sold very well, but her possible edge comes from an overdue narrative from her two decade spanning career and also the fact that she has a big era with a lot of amazing performances.

Luther winning ROTY is such a dud imo, especially after he won for the monster record not like us. I hope the voters can vote different…as long as it's Not golden or Manchild

Gaga has the most anticipated performance of the night and got serious aoty buzz and predictions for the first time since 2011. She already won. She doesn't need a committee that has recognized her talent on numerous occasions to give her more validation. She won respect from the media and general public in a way she hasn't before.

I still think she has a chance at aoty but Kendrick Lamar is the greatest artist in the history of the US's biggest genre, and a Bad Bunny win would be the academy showing solidarity with the most targeted group in the US right now. Theres 3 really really good options both for musical and narrative reasons and that's not normally the case.

I want to stay up to watch her performing, but I'm not too fussed about the actual awards as I've accepted that she will probably only win 2, great if she does win more though. Hopefully someone posts the running order...

He has been extremely vocal with his disdain for the trump administration too and made global headlines for refusing to tour the US, his biggest market. He has by far the strongest narrative out of the 3, possibly of all time too.
