I wouldn't give that much thought to the Thundercat rumor. He's the go-to contemporary musician when someone wants to do "real" funk. He already worked with Kendrick and Bruno and he was in those songs with George Clinton and Bootsy Collins. It's a likely collab that anyone could make up and end up being true.
