I've given up trying to predict it. I was quite convinced this was the month, so I'm a little disappointed if it isn't. That said, I don't think she did the Met for Blue. She could've sent Tina or Jay with her or anything, and I don't think it's an accident she went a full ten years later. She knew that being a milestone ten years would draw headlines.

So either the rumors that the album was delayed are true, and she had to maintain her commitment, or this was always the plan, and she used this to generate goodwill leading into a later release.

can't be disappointed if you don't expect anything in the first place

B and her team has put a lot of emphasis on the Met not being about music. B told every journalist going that last night was about family, and Blue. And Yvette accidentally burnt down the Amazon Rainforest trying to quell rumours of new music.

I think Met Gala was initially planned to kick off the era, but there was a change of plan, perhaps related to the delays that were reported recently.

It is kinda funny that Yvette explicitly said no album was coming, and everyone chose to disbelieve her. I think that's why the pick-and-choose approach when it comes to responding to things doesn't really work. There have been plenty of rumors she hasn't denied, and then nothing happened, so calling more attention to it made people think they were being intentionally subversive. Particularly combined with Bey's sudden social media activity.

part of the problem is a chunk of the fanbase has entertained themselves by playing Blues Clues the last few years trying to force patterns and messages into every little thing, so they've convinced themselves (and witless impressionable others) of deadlines and release dates that were never promised. it's one thing when she does something annoying like the visual teaser, but a lot of all this alleged symbolism and numerology about when things are supposed to happen is just mass delusion. not to say she NEVER does things with intention, but sometimes a subtle nod like the 5:01 in the Levi's ad really is just a reference to the simplest solution (iconic jeans vs supposed release date).

I mean it was for sure was the tour, it was even added to the end of the Beyonce Bowl later where it had that date listed.

This is precisely why I do think it Act III is coming soon. The look represents the shift to a new era (and essentially the burning of her old self).

Taylor has rotted our brains. B has never been that 'Easter Egg' girl. She rarely leaves clues that allow us to workout when something is happening.

Even with CC - she started to visual transform her look with the Grammys but it's not like she set a bunch of stuff out so we could crack the code

Everyone now thinks every artists is laying trails over multiple years. Beyoncé has never done that and don't think she's doing it now for the trilogy. I don't believe this Echoville or Black Betty stuff at all
