Robyn - "Dopamine"

Featured Replies

Amazing. Like others said— quintessential Robyn. The production is amazing. Kind of wish the chorus hit harder but it's more in the vein of Honey in that way which is my favorite album by her. She's never missed! :loki:

  • Hopefully it's more like call your gf/dancing on my own than Honey

  • I feel like there's some amnesia going on in here, because if it's not a brain dysfunction then surely you remember who the **** Robyn is and how she has continually evolved and experimented her entir

It's funny you say this b/c in her BBC interview she said she wrote this back in 2015, and then she went on to say that she didn't record it b/c she wasn't in the mood for that pure pop, so she did Honey which she said was dance with no/little choruses (which is why it is so controversial in her discography) but that this was back to straight pop continuing after Body Talk - but yes i think she is still being influenced by some of the Honey production

This is sooo good. :jonny5:

Song really makes me feel like I'm transcending.

its very good but you can also tell it was written 10 years ago tbh

This is good but hopefully a grower.

And don't crucify me, but it doesn't exactly scream "comeback lead single after 7 years of absence" 🫣

So good :jonnycat:  my favorite pop artist for a reason. There's a little too much auto tune on her voice in parts that really stands out to me

idk if it's as good as Missing U when it comes to her leads but it puts up a good fight.

I'm in the same boats with y'all, I'm really liking it but it's not quite as explosive as some might hope for after a 7 year break. but to be honest I felt similarly about Missing U when that came out and it turned out to have been the perfect lead for Honey looking back :ryan2: I feel like she knows what she's doing, and that there'll be more pop masterpieces along the lines of With Every Heartbeat, Hang with Me, Time Machine, Indestructible, Baby Forgive Me, and Honey on the album proper

very standard robyn but doesn't explode the way i was hoping for her big comeback single tbh, seems like a grower tho

This!

Of course I love it since it's Robyn and she never misses but it does feel kinda dated (in the good way). I also think this is just a sneak peak of what's coming, I'm sure there's a lead more explosive single planned after this.

Sweden excellence :jonny6:

yeah it feels like it was straight from Body Talk

love the song and video

but expected more catchy harmonies

Great song the production would benefit if Jack Antonoff produced it

Amazing. As always. She never misses. The blueprint.

The way i just had a paranormal experience to that song... while listening to it, i danced in my hallway and just felt so present in the moment, getting carried away by the music. Then i opened my eyes and looked towards my living room and suddenly my light randomly went on and off 3 times to the beat of dopamine (the light switch is like 6m away from where i was standing).

very great song but it lacks a punch towards the end...

+ this. this could be the Missing U of the upcoming record..

Literal hairs raised she never misses I feel like I'm back hearing With Every Heart Beat, Dancing On My Own or Missing U for the first time

so surreal that she's back truly peerless

cannot wait to hear this on the dance floor for the first time
