Truly hope this is a closing of a chapter - I think independence and maybe a distribution deal would suit her so much I think she would flourish. the album is beautiful lyrically she's never been as honest, vocally she's on top of her game and the production is dreamy Very much going to dissociate from the narrative around it and just hope that there's some clarity around things on the horizon

I won't fight you on it but I just love how like crazy/angry/manic she sounds on MAM - can clearly hear it's a Raye track but I think it suits her so well

Honestly so impressed with how this has turned out in spite of one of the worst rollouts of her career and all the leaks! Everything from the instrumentation, to the production to her vocals are heavenly. I feel like with every listen there's another flourish or ad-lib that surprises me. Can definitely feel the hurt and anger coming through. I don't think I've ever heard her angry on a track before? Pop off queen. The more acoustic tracks have taken me by surprise I really feel echoes Lights/Halcyon/BB on them. She's back in her songwriter bag - makes me yearn for a full stripped down album/Laura Marling-esque album from her. The more pop/upbeat moments definitely makes the album sparkle a bit more i feel like she just can't help herself when it comes to crafting a pop song. I understand peoples' reservations with the album ending on Ravers but who doesn't want to go dance and sweat all the bullshit off? I can totally see Destiny in this world it would be a nice closer. All in all it's definitely up there in my ranking of her discography. I was afraid she was starting to course correct away from a reflective record but the emotion across it has me right in my feels and there's EXACTLY where I want to be with this. sorry I'm rambling now but I've no outlet for my obsession with her. Title track to me feels like a flash forward from Brightest Blue's title track. Not everything turned out as you hoped or wished for and maybe that's not the worst thing in the world. Hopefully she keeps going in this direction ✨ Okay done !

Loving everyone's reactions - v glad Loser is being received well I feel like people were skeptical from the snippets love that's its cohesive and more introverted I feel like after the Destiny/the leaks it might have taken a different direction. She definitely just has dance music in her blood and songs like Ravers just come naturally So excited to delve into it later I feel like I'm not gonna get any sleep

So shite about the show being cancelled I do wish artists were more transparent across the board when it comes to low sales or something not getting the engagement they'd hoped. I find candor around trying and not succeeding really refreshing and honestly usually endears me more.
